Accutane/first cycle

Hey bros,
I've been on Ranbaxy Sotret for 15 days now. Its basically a generic version of accutane that the dermatologist prescribed, I'm assuming he used the generic b/c its cheaper. However, I have a great source that offers pretty much anything and I feel I'm prepared for a first cycle. I want to stay away from orals b.c of accutane being harsh on the liver. However, I'm confused on what to take that won't prevent as much acne, b.c I don't want it to interfere with accutane. I've considered deca, Eq only because again, I feel test MIGHT interfere with the acne. Also, due to money shortages, would it be ok for qv deca, or should I stay with the brand names, like organon, upjohn, schering, etc.

Get some topical Acutane gell. THe stuff is great cus you only apply it in the areas that need it.

Taking acutane oraly is a bad idea in my book. THe shit has WAY too many bad sides.

Thanks for the reply but its too late I've started. I'm not gunna stop now because I want to knock this outta my system for good. The sides for accutane is DIFFERENT for everyone. Everyone argues about how bad and how good it is, but they never think that it affects everyone DIFFERENTLY. So far, I have dry lips and face, thats it. But thanks for the help gunner, its appreciated.

I used accutane last winter. It was $600 a month not counting blood tests and Dr. visits, so it's not cheap. I had no side effects and it worked great. I have done 2 cycles since with no acne what so ever. I recommend it if you have acne. I would never use it with any AS though. That is just me, Im sure some people do. Bam

Damn! Thats a lot, i have acne from a previous cycle and i no longer juice...I never had a problem with acne until my last cycle.

I wouldn't do any anabolics while on accutane therapy. Is your doctor taking your bloodwork? If you get on the sauce and have higher than expected liver values, then your doctor will take you off it, and thats not cool if you what to knock out your acne. I am on it right now, bloodwork is done every month. I was ready for my first cycle when the doctor gave me the option of taking accutane. I would rather knock the acne out for good. Look at it this way, when the treatment is over in five months, you will that much more ready. By the way, with insurance I only pay $30 a month, plus $20 co-pay doctor's visit.

If you have an acne problem before taking any sort of gear, you may find that gear will bring it on even more. You may also find that accutane will clear you up, but then when you get on a cycle, you'll break out again. Personally, I had bad acne as a teenager, it had pretty much cleared up by the time I did my first cycle (Test @ 500mg/week, 10wks) at 23. But I started getting a few pimples towards the end of the cycle, then more when I hit clomid, and it was downhill from there. They didn't clear up for 6 months! So I went into my second cycle (No test this time, just Dbol, Fina and Winny) a little more prepared and ran a low dose of accutane throughout, along with a heap of liver protectants. Didn't get bloodwork done, but the only side effects I suffered were occasional nosebleeds in the first few weeks (probably from the dbol?). I didn't have any acne during the cycle, or after. Anyways, my advice would be to take accutane along with your cycle, but get regular bloodwork throughout to make sure everything is in order.

gareth-the nosebleeds you were experiencing were probably from accutane. One of the side-effects is nosebleeds because it dries you out very bad. I figure its the safest to do my first cycle while on because I know that accutane should prevent the pimples from occuring. Also, I'll be taking l-dex which from alot of people say it takes care of acne from starting. I'll most likely be doing a lower dose of test (around 300) and a moderate dosing of EQ for my cycle, hopefully everything will turn out alright. If anyone else has any comments about their accutane experiences, on or off cycle, PLEASE contribute. I'm not platinum and cannot research that. Thanks
