Abtronic (generic) for forearm or small muscles

I use generic Abtronic like muscle stimulator for forearms (I think it is not powerful enough for larger muscles).
It his 11 or 12 levels. On my forearm, I can't go beyond 8 or 9. It becomes too painful above that level, and I am also afraid to rupture a ligament. I really get a good pump and it is sore afterwards.
On my setting, there is 3 seconds of stilulation followed by about 1.5 seconds of relaxation.
My forearms are my weakest part.
What do you people think about it?
Will it work?

Sure, but you have to put one of the pads directly on your butthole and turn it up to 12. That'll inspire you to through out the gimmicky machine and grab some fists full of iron instead.

Yeah, the electro pads are a pretty laughable way of training.
I turned it up to 12 on one forearm. I have to support my hand in a fixed position and make a tight grip on my wrist because otherwise it was too painful. I could only tolerate about 10 contractions at a time. Some of my muscles were twitching afterwards.

My forearms were really swollen (the one I stimulated longer was more swollen). Today I have DOMS in my forearm, and I never had this intense DOMS in my forearms before.

I am working out regularly. It is difficult to isolate forearms by other exercises, and I have embarrasing forearms. It stimulates both flexors and extensors at the same time which does not happen with usual resistance training.

I don't know what the end result would be, but the pump and the soreness are real (and not my imagination).
The current is not strong enough for larger muscles (it felt like good massage on the lower back). But for smaller muscles, it is strong!!!!!

I don't normally suggest someone spend the time to islolate their forearms because with all the stuff out there that I think everyone should be doing (i.e. compound movements- deads, squats, pushpresses, rows) most peoples forearms will develope nicely just with all the pulling. Plus there's the time issue involved. There are a lot of great excersizes but you have to prioritize and triage for time.

That being said, if you really want to work your forearms, here's a cheap and easy way to do it.

Go to your local Home Improvement store and pick up a round, wooden stick (a little thicker than a broom stick. They all sell them.) Have them cut off a 1-1.5 ft section for you. Take that piece and drill a hole through the middle. Then take a rope, thread it through the hole, and tie it off. Now just tie a weight to the end, and roll the stick until the weight winds up to the top, then slowly lower it the opposite way. You can raise it both ways to work the top and bottom of your forearms as well.

You can spend 50 bucks to buy a premade version, but if you make it yourself it's like 5 bucks.

Have fun and good luck with those pipecleaners of your :)

big forearms come from handling heavy weights. i dont know what you look like but could it be possible that your forearms are relative to the rest of your physique and your just more self conscious of your forearms. how about an arm measurement and a forearm measurement for comparison.

p.s. doms and pumps have nothing to do with getting bigger or stronger. its merely a response to unaccustomed stimuli
