Alright, im not that worried, but its driving me crazy. I am on my 8th week of my Test P cycle. Its a real lite 400mgs a week cycle. Never have had any infection ever.

Now this is about 4 days after my last left arm delt injection. I notice that its kinda swollen, ike a got a huge bruise. not like a pratruding bruise but its just like a long bruise that goes from the lower part of my delt to my tri. Its really kinda wierd. its not REAL warm or even real red. But its kinda red. I have had times where I have had a sore red spot after a inject for a couple days but it just went away, no biggy with some heat. I havent got sick or fever like symptoms, I feel fine. Think there is anything to get worried about? Or just give it some time. I dont have any Penicillin on me should I maybe take a anti inflamitory?

From what you described it sounds like you may have hit a blood vessel in your delt and the blood ran down your arm inside toward your tri (following gravity) before it closed up. I wouldn't worry about it if that's that case.

No shit. Im not a newb, but I bet thats what happened. Cause it doesnt really hurt but the shot itself kinda went in wierd. You know when no matter how many times you do it your just like Hummmm, that felt funny.

Also it isnt red On the delt where i injected, its kinda like a half arm band around my tri about 3.5 inches long. haha, its fuckin wierd.

Ive had weird reactions that where slightly sore, redish and traveled away from the injection site. they always cleared up on their own.

post up a pic.

Is it red, pink or have a purple tin to it? if it is red then it may be a local reaction. if it is pink the same may be true. if it is pruple then it is a bruise.

In any case to be on the safe side ice it. Draw a line around it with a sharpie and watch it. If it grows rd outside the line and become warm to the touch get on some keflex or doxy.

Its just red. And its not a distinct like it just kinda looks like a rash. Im sure my body just had a wierd reaction. Its been like 4-5 Days and I havent even had a slight flew.

Thats what it sounds like to me.

Hitting blood vessels does not cause a rash. Sounds like it is a local infection. take some benadryl

that happened to me on my test p cycle i think i even made a thread about it...it looked like a heat rash kina and it went away after a few days... i wouldnt worry

^ i agree thats probably it, but if it were me, just to be safe I would order some antibiotics,, I wouldnt take em yet but always good to have on hand just in case.. and if you dont end up needing them at least you got em in the medicine closet for the future...

This kind of advice is what has created resistant strains of Staph.

Well just in case take some antiBs. If you take them when you do not need them you will build a tolerance and fewer and fewer will work.

Hitting a boold vessel does not cause a rash!!! A reaction to something injected rubbed or touched will cause a rash.

Coming from someone ij the medical field for many years now draw a line around it and watch it. If it gets more red then go see someone. Just because you have a case of cellulitis does not mean you will have a fever.

Notice he said LOOKS like a rash, not an actual rash. It sounds like he was just describing the color. But I guess he can clear that up.

I was NOT telling him to take them just to be safe, I was saying to have them on hand just to be safe.... trust me i know about resistant strains of staph and what started em----
My thoughts on the matter are it is better to have them in the medicine closet when you do need (you know its an infection) then not have them on hand and have to order em and wait a week with an infection..
Of corse you could just go to your doc or to an ER, if you know you have an infection, but a alot of bros dont have health ins. or an ER visit copay is $100..
I would not tell anybody pop some antibiotics just to be safe, but i stand by the fact that it is better to have em on hand IF you do need em....

For everyones info,

If you dont know, you can go to any pet fish store and can get amoxicllian (Sp) and some other antibiotics for like 50 cents a pill. I have a huge saltwater tank and a smaller one. The smaller one is a quarantine tank and if one my fish gets sick or fights and gets hurt, I scoop them out and put them in the Q tanks and open the pills and drop into tank. They are EXACT same medication that we take, to the T. Most of the time, they are written by the same dr. that writes scripts for the owners of the pet shop etc... and the prescrip bottles are exactly the same and usually say something like.. Mr. Fish and then it has 30 of so pills in each bottle.

I have used them when I was sick and it saved me a lengthy visit and the trouble.

I doubt it is the same dose. Alot of it is weight based up to a certain weight.

Alright it does seem the swelling going away. Still redish. Its just a shade darker then my skin. If it doesnt start fading away Ill take pics in a day or two. And right now, I dont have health ins. aint that but a bitch.

And no shit about the amoxicillin....... I had a salt water tank too...... never thought about it.
