Abscess... Fact or fiction?

I was reading they claimed that you can get a abscess from shooting in the same spot to much after time..True or false?

True!!! If the spot is already inflamed or in the early stages of infection, irritating it further by injecting in the same spot repeatedly is definitely not going to speed the healing process-especially if you're reusing the same dart and/or contaminated gear. Trust me on this-I learned the hard way.

Another thing to be conscious of when hitting the same spot over an over(I'm talking regular pokes over months/years) is scar tissue. Once enough scar tissue has formed injections in that area may not disperse like they're supposed to. Sometimes it's near impossible to squeeze the plunger too.

well what happens is you dont let the oil that is built up disperse and that can lead to a sterile abscess, i believe the name is....

Thanks guys for the opinions...can never learn to much or be to safe when it comes to geting a abscess and explaining it to the doc...
