abs?

so i was just wondering how many sets of set ups should i do a day to get some abs im not worried bout a 6 pack right now i just want some good looking abs so i do 7 sets of 15 after every work out is that good enough or should i be doing something else ?
 
well first off, you dont a six pack by doing a shitload of situps. you have to lose fat to get a six pack. also, train abs like a normal muscle. 3 sets of 10-12 is enough a couple times a week. if it gets too easy, either increase number of sets by 1, or put a plate on youre chest while doing them to ad resistance.
 
true, abs should be trained like any other muscle group, i see alot of people doing a 100's of half assed sit ups and get up and walk away not even breathing hard, wont do anything for you
 
Like lee said its all about diet. Also i used to be one of the morons who would do sets of 50 or more. Till I learned to get a deeper burn from contracting the muscles the whole set and really deep. Not where I wanna be yet but not where i was.
 
i start out with 500 sit ups every workout. then i move to some lower ab exercises and then some obliques and finish with some upper abs. i like to do abs before i lift.
