Two years ago I was able to do sit ups with my feet planted on the floor, or with my legs stretched out. Now I can't do it without grabbing onto my thighs or sliding my feet under something. I stopped doing tae kwon do but i still excercised weekly. Is this a problem with my lower back? Or am I just getting weaker??
 
Sounds like you have lost some ab strength. It's not hard to get it back though. Do them they way you currently can and make the ab workout progressively harder as time goes on.
