Abs

Maybe a dumb question.

I want to cut my abs, but in relation to my chest, they stick out just as far, maybe a little less. I am working my ass off on my chest and am having good results. My abs don’t look bad, they just are not really chiseled like I really would like. I defiantly do not want them to get any bigger. There is very little fat around them, because I see my six pack pretty good. Is there fat under my abs I don’t see?
I don’t work on my abs because I am afraid they will get bigger, plus they don’t look that bad. What can I do?? Do I need to just get a bigger chest??

I have a good diet, good routine 3/4 days a week, 30-40 min cardio, maybe 12% bf. 30yrs old 5' 11" 183lbs.

Thanks for any and all help..... :) :)

Well, I'm having a little difficulty picturing your explanation. I suspect that your BF is not as low as you think. You also mention your abs don't look bad but are not as chiseled as you'd lilke. In order to get more get the chiseled look you need to be more lean. Cardio and diet need to be reviewed. What are the specifics of your diet and workout routine? Are you hitting everything hard and not just your chest?
And I woundn't sweat over abdominal hypertrophy, abs are difficult to increase in size due to the typicsl volume of work people do on them and the slow twitch fibre make up.

I eat lean, chicken, tuna, fish, steak, salads,. I workout 3-4 times a week. 30 minutes of cardio. I do hit everything real good. I just thought that I would not see my abs if I was really high bf. I am sure it would not take much for me and my wheel to get my abs to look the way they used to, I am just affraid they will sick out farther and I will still look like I have a gut.
Do you think I should get the rest of my body the way I want, then work on my abs? Mabe more cardio?

Thanks for your help bro

You need to continue working everything along with abs but obviously if there are imbalances between muscle groups it will become visible. The general consensus is that you won't see abs unless you're 10% or under. Keep in mind, you can work you're abs all you want but unless you lower your bf you will not have 'chiseled abs'.
