About to format C drive

My computer is infested with virii so I'm just gonna format the thing and do a nice clean start

Basically, Im gonna burn all my important crap onto a CD, go to command promt, and type format c

is there anything else I should be doing, other than this??? It's how I always do it and it seems to work but I've been reading these 400 step manuals online and I just wanted to make sure

Just make sure you back up all of your shit (programs, important files, etc.) before you format!

put the hardrive in the microwave, it'll burn everything to memory.

I always like to go get all my udated drivers and put them on disk as in video ,mobo and dont forget to go get ms updates soon as you conect to internet , service packs ect,,, i love a fresh new op sys,
