I lost a lot of weight and got back to my normal routine and diet about 2 or 3 months ago but just recently I start running once or twice a week, just so my cardio endurance doesnt disappear.

My question is..when people say you should run for however long, how much should you be running, how many miles? And what time period should you pace it for? That shit always confuses me.
 
It totally depends on your fitness level. At the bare minimum you should be running at a pace that gets your heart rate up to 140 beats per minute, and for about 20-30 minutes. However, if you are in decent shape you can run for much longer and harder.
