Abercrombie & Fitch (Northern NJ) Seeks Young Professionals

Abercrombie has the rare ability to retain their managers as opposed to the rest of the industry where managers are very nomadic, leaving jobs in search of an extra dollar an hour at other companies.

Here's part of the problem. Most highly qualified candidates don't want an hourly wage, nor do they want to work nights and weekends throughout the year, especially for less money.

We're the ONLY major corporation that is making money this year. Banana is a different category. We are casual. Banana is more preppy formal.

Saks is lackluster and boring. How many of your co-workers do you consider a close friend? We're very tight knit.

Saks is losing money because the parent company owns crap like Parisian. The employees there are assholes, but they sell top of the line shit.

The best employees are at Nordstrom's, for customer service.

A&F has a market segment, but I don't think it popuates this board too much.

Exit 160 off of the North bound side of the Garden State Parkway. At the traffic light, follow the road straight into the Garden State Plaza Mall. We're located on the main floor between JC Penny and Macy's.

Hhhhhhhhmmmmm any pretty boys gonna be round tomorrow? If I am not busy I may just come by and personally sexually harrass a few of you myself! :D

Overall, I think it was kind of 68GT350 to share this opportunity with us. After all, we don't exactly have the best economy right now and many people are unemployed and need a paycheck, no matter where it comes from. Nowdays, job opportunities travel by word of mouth. This doesn't necessarily have to be a career, but it can certainly help individuals strapped for cash.

Big karma to him.

Seeing as 99.99% of EF views and posts from work, on the company's (or government's) dime, this isn't exactly the best "target audience" with whon to advertise a job. A low-paying, hard job at that. The kind of job where you can't surf the internet for hours a day.

Still, thanks GT.

Does anyone else have a problem PAYING for clothes that have the companies name splashed all over them? They have some nice stuff, but I'm not paying them to advertise their company.

The last time I was in one of their stores, I asked the manager if there was a secret back room where they kept their logo-less clothes. She asked me to leave.

I hear ya'. I got over that back in the 80's with my Z. Cavaricci wardrobe. (Hey! At least I admit that I wore that shit.)

Seems to me clothes with logos should be cheaper....but it doesn't work that way.

I like plain shit.
