Ab Toning Wheel

STRACER

New member
Do these things actually work? A friend gave me one and I have been hesitant to use it. The reason I ask is because my stomach is really the only place that bothers me. He says that this thing will tone my stomach up really quick if used correctly.

If anyone has any experience using one let me know something about technique or anything else I might need to know.

They had one at the gym I used to go to. There alright, but I ended up going back to my old exercises anyway. So I guess I dont have lots o good things to say about them. But give it a try you might get a better workout with it than I did.

If its fat you want to burn off your mid section, cut your calories and hop on the treadmill... You can't "tone" fat, and you can't target a certain part of your body to burn off fat, that myth is called spot reduction...
If you want to build some abdominal muscles, do some weighted ab work...
I wouldn't waste my time with any of those gimmicks...
Hope that helps!
Thanks

Yes and no.

Yes, if you don't normally do any ab work, it's as good an abdominal excercises as any. I wouldn't do them exclusively, but it's fine as part of an overall ab routine.

No, like the good doc says, it won't spot burn any fat you have accumulated.

That ab machine on a ball?
It is good for isolating abs, but as stated before if you have fat over your abs, its not going to help...well it will help you devlop there better...I like those things there like a little version of a torso track.

But bicycle situps or whatever there called are supposidly the most effective excersise acccording to the latest studies.

I know this has nothing to do with the ab toning wheel, but can't yohimburn spot reduce fat?

i'm thinking yohimburn only gives noticeable results when you're at a really low bodyfat% and just have to get rid of one last spot of accumulation. i think

I have a bottle of yohimburn.. I've been using it for quite a while....
I'm really not too sure if its actually done anything for me...
I've lost a pile of weight.. but I can't tell weather or not the yohimburn was actually responsable for any of it..

Try that ab wheel and the next day you'll be hurtin big time. Oh by all means that thing works. Freakin rocks you if you've never done it. After a few weeks of doing it though, you'll have to switch it up and do something else to get the same results. But then go back to it and you'll see it working again. Trust me. Use it

my lower back always hurt when doing the ab wheel. I guess my form was a little off when I did try this, but if my form was off on any other ab exercise, it wouldn't hurt my back. I give the ab wheel two thumbs down

my buddy used an ab wheel for i think was a few months, hes 18% bf and u can see his abs, not a shredded 6 pack but u can see the outline and his actual ab muscles are hard. Im actually going to get one tomorow and start using it. He did it everyday err weekdays. Thats real life results for you its all in how you do it i guess...

They are actually great for building functional stability in the abdominals and obliques...but I get the picture that you are going for the "abercrombie look"----my new favorite saying

The skinny on yohimburn: there are fat cells with A2 receptors that make them very resistant to being used. With men this is abdominal fat, with women, butt and legs. The real "trouble" spots. Yohimburn (I think) blocks the A2 receptor, making the fat more likely to be used for energy, IF!! you're already dieting and doing cardio.
