gymrat New member Jul 31, 2001 #1 hi bros, it seems that when ever i attempt to train my abs they cramp up bad. especially when i do crunches. this is really the only muscle group which does this? Any thoughts?

W WarriorPL High End Bro Platinum Jul 31, 2001 #4 LOL woman take Midol when its that time of the month.... Don't worry about it, it get it too but not that much i get it cuz i do sets of 50 crunches and sit ups, and after about 25 leg raises, just rest and do it again, no biggy

gymtime New member Aug 3, 2001 #8 Cramps like that are usually a symptom of dehydration. Might want to bump up your water intake and you should be ok. Also, Are you taking creatine by any chance? The only time I've ever experienced cramps in my abs is during the first week of taking creatine.

G goahead New member Aug 3, 2001 #9 Do 1 static ab posing contraction sert before any ab exercise Stand position , bent a bit thru the knees, let your hands touch our forehead . Now pretend you are doing a crunch..... Hold the modt contracted position for (40!!!) seconds Works very well to shape the abs, might also have effect (good or bad you judge) in respect to muscle cramps Good luck and a lot of sweat Bro
