AAS nd stunting growth...

I know we all mature at roughly the same age (17-25). I, on the other hand think I am a late bloomer. My father told me before that he actually grew taller and put on bulk from 27-30. I found this hard to believe but now that I am approacing that I feel like I have grown a 1/2 inch and am stronger now than I was 5 years ago, even when I did a couple low dose cycles of AAS. I also have more lean body mass. This part is difficult to guage as I'm not sure if it's just a recent "growth spurt" in the last year or so or if the extra mass is from hard training. I am in my mid twenties now. I guess I have two questions...

Has anyone ever heard of gaining height/bone mass from age 25-30?

How many cycles or at what doses do AAS stunt growth?

Thanks bros...

never heard of any gains that late... and I'm sure it's more to do with genetics than anything else with the stunting growth. I've never met any one that's abnormally short taking AAS. I guess that's why people should wait until at least 18 to start or until their own natural limit (genetic potential).

Here..this is similar to the debate thats in another thread and these were a couple of my posts below---(you should be able to tell where I stand on it)---LOL

FACT---
IF YOU ARE YOUNGER THAN 21-23, AND USE AAS---YOU SERIOUSLY RUN THE RISKS OF PREMATURE CLOSING OF YOUR GROWTH PLATES WHICH MEANS YOUR SHOULDERS WILL NOT GET ANY WIDER, YOU WONT GET ANY TALLER---ALL OF YOUR GROWTH PLATES WILL PREMATURELY CLOSE WHEN THIS IS A VITAL STAGE OF YOUR LIFE AS A MAN!!!!!! NOT EVEN TO GET INTO YOUR ENDOCRINE SYSTEM BEING AT AN EXTREMELY VITAL STAGE IN YOUR LIFE!!!!!!

NOT ONLY TALKING HEIGHT HERE!!!!!!

I AM TALKING FULL BODY GROWTH EVERYWHERE----High school 18 year olds will easily gain 20+ pounds of body weight---not fat weight---not even necessarily muscle weight---but bone weight---cartilage---tendons----the whole body will grow---if not taller---then wider---shoulders will broaden---back will grow bigger and stronger-----ALL OF THIS NATURALLY----WHILE AAS WILL CLOSE UP THE GROWTH PLATES AND THIS WILL NOT OCCUR!!!!!!-----When he gets off the AAS and quits training----he will be quite underdeveloped/problematic compared to if he waited to do AAS!!!!!

Personally, I didn't grow taller than 6'1 since I was 15----although

at 15--I was 170 bodyfat was probably 15%
at 18--I was 185 bodyfat was probably 15%
at 22--I was 225 bodyfat was probably 15%

NO AAS---Pretty good training off and on as I learned/got educated----Never learned how to eat correctly until 22-24 or so-----and how important REST is, etc...etc......

My point, of course everyone is different, but NOT ONE MALE ON THIS PLANET IS FULLY DEVELOPED (not just height) AT AGE 18!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its like some super human 18 year old ready to be as strong/fast/powerful/fully developed to completely dominate the NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE-----Yea RIGHT----Never happen.....

Ask any professional athlete---how much they grew (whether height, weight, size, shoulders, back, bones, whatever) from age 18 to 22-23..........

Good luck to you bro-----wish you would of waited, but I was 18 once too and I KNEW EVERYTHING---LMFAO---wait until you hit your 30's!!!!!!!! You will have come a LONG LONG LONG WAYS my friend
good luck to you bro......

Good info as ALWAYS Willb! Maybe I didn't explain my question though, I AM in my mid twenties but what I am asking is if I feel like I am still making gains, and according to my father he was a late bloomer as I guess I am as I have his genetics, would I be better off to wait until like 30 to do alot of AAS? Also what I am saying is that I have taken a few low dose cycles (500mg/week for 6 weeks) a couple times, would that amount of AAS close your growth plates? How much and for how long does? Will growth help to keep them open or is there no such thing? Thanks bro...

Of course everyone is different, but people that use early (around 18) are really only effected developmentally by both heavy dosage and chronic usage. At any dosage a cycle will hasten the closing of the growth plates. Understand that for many at this age these growth centers are already in the process of slowly calcifying. Steroids accelerate this process just as they accelerate muscle growth and even hair loss. So think about this. You are prone to serious MPB and during a steroid cycle you lose a significant amount of hair. However you do not lose all that you eventually will in your later years. MPB was accelerated but you did not go totally bald.
Don’t get me wrong, hastening the closure of growth plates is bad, don’t mess around with it if you're concerned about it. But after a light or reasonable cycle do your growth plates slam shut? Not likely...

Got this info from an endocrinologist. I freaked for a short while about this very subject after doing a light dbol cycle when I was 18. He told me to relax and stay off them till I was at least 25, if I was even planning on doing them at that time.

Enough said right there bro....

Karma to ya for sharing....

A little food for thought: I'm 20 and I completed my first cycle about 5 weeks ago. What do you all think about people my age using AAS if you're more than satisfied with your size (width, muscle base, height)? I'm gifted in the size department, I have always been big. I haven't grown any since I was 17 (stopped at 6'0" dead even). I'm referred to as "huge", play college football, etc...

Are there more negative aspects of others my age using besides stunted growth? I've been under the impression that responsible use by adult males will not detriment your health in the long run.

I was responsible in my use for this first cycle. I went to the doctor bi-weekly for checkups (which were perfect), went through proper PCT, super strict in my lifts/diet/rest, etc.. So far out, I lost 2lbs since the end of my cycle (water?) and I plan on starting again in Sept.

Please reply with facts rather than opinions.
