the question is do those who self inject testosterone at redicluous levels opt for one moe shot or not?

nothin to worry about bro

just got my flu shot a month ago or so

as much as i would love to karma up your life becept. the kkarma God says i have to spread the love a little more before i hit you up with my gratitude. !!!! thanks anyway. PEACE

I've taken a flu shot ONCE. It got me as sick as if I had the flu itself, maybe worse. It truly sucked - never again.

GG, if you've had one before and it didn't bother you, then I am guessing you'll be okay. If you haven't, then I'd move with caution. Just my .02.

this could be a coincidence, unless you were injected w/ a live virion.

I though most flu shots nowady consisted of extracted H & N proteins ???

that being said, I got mine :)

I got it a month ago on cycle, no probs. Everyone else in the house got the flu last week but me :) go for it!

Yes, that's correct. They're comprised of a mix of the most 'promising' candidates for widespread infection in the North American population. The viruses are heat-killed (but under gentle enough conditions not to cause full denaturation) and the various capsid proteins are purified, in many cases by differential ultracentrifugation. This has an added benefit of sedimenting out any intact capsids or whole virions; it's quite convenient, and makes the shot quite safe.

At any rate, the reason for the sickness may have been a syndrome prompted by an overwhelming immune response to the immunization; many times this manifests as itchy or burning eyes, extremely sore throat, swollen lymph nodes in the neck, sensitivity in the thymus, and general "shittiness".

But don't worry about live virus injection; that practice is out of style for all but a few vaccines nowadays - and even those viruses are passaged through immunodeficient cell lines in order to attenuate some of their virulence factors.

As for flu shots and AAS, don't freak out about it - you're Kool and the Gang, bro.

Bingo. Sounds exactly like what I was feeling. Thanks Doc. :)

Funny thing is...I got my FLU shot today...it was me and 3 other guys in the room and 1 woman. The nurse asked if anyone has had a "Steroidal" shot in the past 2 weeks. The woman spoke up and said she had had some kind of stuff for her lower back...The nurse would not give her the shot because she said there was a likelyhood of "adverse" reactions...WTF?

That's mainly dealing with corticosteroids, which (in some cases) can severely modulate the immune system. Gear isn't really a concern.

i don't buy there is any reason to avoid a flu shot if you are on AAS. although i am on var only, i did not hesitate to get one the other day. i had the flu last year (the true influenza) and it was the sickest i have ever felt. for you guys who think you don't need one, think again. if you have never had the flu before (not just a bad cold) you will be blown away how sick you get. it is unbelievable. it takes like three weeks before you are 100% again.

it is total myth you get sick from a flu shot. if you get sick after you get the flu it is because you were probably getting sick anyhow. ask any doctor.
