Well she had 12. She is down to 10 now. I know a cat got one of them as the cat's owner told me she found it in the yard. I don't know about the other one.
The sickly one is still there. He is improving a lot. It used to be he was the last to reach the lake or whereever they were heading. I think he has something wrong with his leg. He limps and flaps a lot. But before when he was laying there, I think it was because the mother pushed him out of the nest and the sun and heat was hurting him the most. When the little girl put him back in the nest, he improved and the mother spends time with him now.
She is now teaching them how to eat. I went out earlier and threw some cornflakes to her and used to be, she would eat them up. Now she just snaps her bill up and down on them to crush them into crumbs small enough for the babies to handle.
