It's me this time. I'm getting a new better camera, so no more blurriness from my cell phone.

We are tapering for competition so light weights and good technique.

Clean and Jerks set 2 90kg, set 2 100kg - very light, feeling it out. Ignore the "penis" in the background.

I will get videos of my six attempts from Collingwood sometime next week, as well as my attempts from last competition.
 
I would love to eventually learn to catch the bar like that. I'd also like the same flexibility keeping tight form with the legs folded and a proper stable arch in the lower back.

... still not too sure about bouncing like that at the bottom but I guess that's what thick hamstrings are for.
 
The bouncing is considered good technique.

The flexibility will come as long as you keep working it hard. Work your positions hard when you are learning the movements. For example, take something light during your warmups and sit with it in a hole for a bit, bounce up and down in a front rack, etc. Even on jerks you can hold each position for a little while before recovering.

As with most video threads, I'm going to try to turn this into a petition to get BiggT to buy a camera...especially after yesterday's deadlifts incident. ;) Can we each chip in a few bucks and PayPal it to him or something?

I will post my meet videos on my youtube account after this weekend. I won't be in for a little while, as I'm going on a little vacation after the comp! Hopefully, I'll get some GPP in the sack on the off days ;)

As for the videos, my jerk was a bit off both times. The first one was just a bit forward, as I was lazy with light weight. The second again I was lazy with light weight, but this time there was just no speed. I personally don't like to catch weights high like that and then ride them down, so sometimes I cheat and just "pop and drop".

I'm expecting 100kg or more in the snatch and 125 or more in the clean and jerk in the 77kg class.
