Which is the more advanced class?

These are two pictures of 12 yr old`s school classes.

One is the least advanced education given, one the most.
So theres a big gap. Can you tell which is which?

Class A

Top is most advanced I think. Hard to tell by looking at a bunch of kids alone. But the kids in the top pic look more interested in what is going on. Also, the posters on the wall encourage the kids to take responsibility for their own learning.

So am I correct?

BTW how do you judge least and most advanced?

But those posters are essentially giving info or there to look pretty. The ones in the first pic encourage pupils to take responsibility........that is currently considered most desirable.

Maybe I'm wrong and am reading too much into it.
 
According to the question, I'd say Class A has more "advanced" education only because there's only 18 kids instead of 26.



Or I could be retarded.

That is a very good point..........(I dont mean the bit about you being retarded).
 
The rooms they are in are coincidental. There are no specific rooms for levels in this school.

One votes for the class they think is smarter

Ok I change my mind. Class A are retards.......except the guy in the green shirt who is wondering why he has to spend his time with a bunch of retards.

Oh and there is a high probability that the two blonde girls at the front right will be pregnant this time next year.
 
One will become a dentist, two will become prostitutes, and one kid in top row will become a serial killer. And others.... well, their life will just suck.
 
This is really an impossible job..........you cant tell how 'advanced' somebody is just by looking at a photo. Maybe by seeing them in person you oculd get an idea but thats it.
 
two things make me say b is the advanced class; the girl in green back left looks smart and there are more black people in it and in this day and age black people seem to be on their kids a lot more to do well in school.

Black kids are one ethnic group that generally underperforms in exams. They are accompanied by Pakistani and Bandladeshi kids.

White and Indian kids perform far better on the whole.

Sorry lol. I actually agree in part with what you say. Black parents do tend to have high aspirations for their kids........but somehow the kids are not getting the message. Could just be that they tend to live in poorer areas so you arent comparing like with like.
 
The male to female ratio is higher in class A. That is generally true of advanced math and science classes. Math and science performance is a likely means of differentiating most advanced from least advanced.

Also, the kids in class B protray a more clannish and trendy social atmosphere, while the kids in class A look more independent and civil. That is just the feeling I get from the clusting or lack thereof of their positions, their styles and their expressions.

Lastly, there are more Africans in the 2nd class. Africans underperform relative to caucasians.

So, I would guess class A is the more advanced class.
 
Class A only has 18 kids. It has one guy that might be borderline asian (smart) and no africans (not as smart).

It has no one covering up one of thier eyes like B does in the top right. Its smaller and less black.

But I made most of my decision by % wearing eye glasses, and A has more kids wearing glasses than B.
 
I didn't consider the sizes of the classes. I think we can assume they are from the same school, or the relative demographics would become less meaningful. That is another reason to choose class A.

What's the point of this bor?
 
The first two things that occured to me have already been mentioned:

1)smaller class size (A)

2)small %age of females (A)

Also, Winnie the Pooh is fucking advanced as hell. Only smart people are down with that shit. My first teddy bear (given to me at 6 months) was a Pooh, and I am still in possession of it.

I would pick A, if I had to. If not, then I'd keep second guessing myself under the assumption that this is a tricky question, even though it may not be.

If this is the kind of test I think it is, the correct answer is B for the sole reason that there are "minorities" in the class picture.

There is honestly no certain way to tell which class is smarter, however I believe there is an underlying purpose to the test other than simply asking "which class is smarter". I could very well be wrong, however I have seen this kind of thing before.

Moreover, am I the only one who finds it kind of funny that there is a twelve year old in the first picture wearing a Cradle Of Filth t-shirt? I remember wearing a couple of those in HS... teachers loved them :rolleyes: .
 
yeah, it must be a trick in one of two ways...by everyone assuming B is dumber cuz of minorities, or B being smarter despite the minorities

If you were expecting there to be a further clue, purpose or point to this thread ill have to let you down. there is none
 
I picked A as well, smaller class size, more people with glasses as a percentage, more boys, lots of good points made here.....

Funny that our generalizations were shown to be true here....

A - is the more neurotic group so they're the "smart ones".

B - is more layed back and relaxed so they're the regular or special needs students.

You can see the tension level differences in the postures of the children.

Exactly. I have only met a handful of people in my life that can get exceptional grades while only doing what comes naturally. The rest only do well because their parents or teachers managed to break their spirits.
