A student's supplements

I just bought 2 orders of Raw MCC and Amplify 02, and I bought 4 bags of better protein bars, now I need a protein because my True Mass is starting to run low. I would do Big Blast by Protein Factory but it is way too expensive (24 servings = $72.72). What is a good quality protein that I can get for cheap?

Also what is that protein called that is good to take before bed because it breaks down slow?

Middle Ground, is there nothing that is pretty good and cheap? I don't want Wal-Mart shit, I've been using True Mass, I was hoping there might be something with equivalent quality or even better for less.

True Mass is a mixture of many different proteins. You can custom make your own if you want.

True mass is absolute garbage.

If you go the Trueprotein.com route buy The Team Skip blend in premium chocolate and a 5 pound bag of swedish oat starch. Two 70cc sccops of oat starch is 10g protein and 60g carbs. Add that to 2 70cc scoops of TeamSkip and eat 1oz of almonds and an apple. Perfect meal on the go.

What makes True Mass bad? And what is a good protein I can buy? I'd prefer to stay under $50 and get about 30 servings, for example, with True Mass I take half a serving, because each serving has 46 grams of protein and the body can only handle so much at one time, (I weight 198 pounds).

BSN = Muscltech

Read the label bro. I guess the protein blend isn't too bad if you actually believe their label claims. The main carb source is maltodextrin which is trash imo. You can buy malto for <$2 a pound. You would save money by buying WPI in bulk and adding your own Malto. But better yet, you could buy WPI in bulk and add a real food carb source lke oats which is a low(er) GI complex carb.

I know where you can get a very good 10 pound bag of whey isolate/whey concentrate/hydrolyzed whey
peptides blend for under $70 cheap. It tastes killer too. You will have a hard time finding that blend cheaper.

ok, where?

i would get some cheap ass EAS 5lbs for 31 bucks.
And then i would get some big blast (just a couple lbs.)

only take big blast post workout and use the rest of the protein for other times.
if you can afford it get some case-in protein (slow digesting) because
it will be a lot less expensive than cottage cheese (which i eat every night).

just make sure to keep your diet on track while in college.
IT is HARD in the dorms. trust me

HAHAH LMAO! hobo asshole! nice, well i've had EAS both Chocolate and Vanilla and i haven't experienced the hobo asshole yet :P so until i do i'll keep buying it lol

I am a self proclaimed protein snob. I have standards and EAS is not quite up to them.

well at least they have BCAA's surely you can at least give them that:chomp:

Fancy label gimmicks.

All protein is made of peptide bonded BCAAs. They list the BCAAs on the packaging to fool the consumer into thinking they are getting something extra. In reality they are listing the BCAA make up of a serving of their product.

Big difference between peptide bonded and free for aminos :)

aw damn :( well i tried lol, i'll just wont buy it anymore and just add it to my list of "weider taxes". i know big blast is lately considered the best but at $10 a pound i can't afford to spend over 100 dollars on 10lbs so i guess i'll just use that link u sent me of that protein from black labs. Unless of course there is more out there that you know for 10lbs that wont run me 100 freakin dollars

but nitro-tech can make you gain 12lbs of muscle in two weeks.
just like it made cutler and jackson do.

If EAS suits your needs by all means continue to buy it. It is a basic whey supp. You shouldn't be drinking it more than once a day anyways imo.

ya i haven't bought any in a while. Last protein supps i bough were ON Vanilla Ice Cream (disgusting) and Beverly International Whey (huge disappointment). When i was taking it i only took it 2 times a day

I've used to drink True Mass. Tasted great, gained size...

Now, I'm becoming a protein snob also. I switched to big Blast, whey isolates and Micellar casein only.

Yeah, no kidding. A glass of milk has BCAA's. They're just peptide bonded.
