Anybody who thinks it is easy to bag an elk has never tried to. Lots of guys hunt like hell their whole life and get 1 or 2 animals. The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is made up of hunters and they do a GREAT deal for elk. Even buying large amounts of land for the elk.

Due to the internal security problem here in Ireland all forms of firearm ownership is restricted. I.E. I had a 4 mouth wait for a licence for a Ruger 10/22 semi crazy !.

If I had half the chance I'd hunt down and beat an elk to death with a stone, never mind a bow or large caliber rifle.
MP5 I'd looooooooooooooove to do that type of hunting here in Ireland.

I've got two in Colorado with bow. They time the seasons there to bow runs with the rut and you can call them in. 2 for two with bow and 1 for 6 with rifile.

I shot a black bear through Rocky Moutain Outfitters. They basically put you up over a plot that they have been baiting for years. Just take your pick and shoot. not much sport but I got a nice bear that made the books
