Have you heard of Androxal? You will soon. This prescription testosterone medication has just been proven to be affective. In fact, according to a recent press release)BioSpace 2-3-06)daily use of just 25mgs of Androxal within 2 weeks induced an increase(average)of 297.5 irrespective of baseline testosterone levels. According to Jean Fourcroy,MD,a member of the United States Anti-Doping Agency,"Not only does Androxal exhibit the potential to restore normal testosterone levels in men experiencing secondary hypogonadism and consequently all the benefits that normalized male hormones afford, it appears that it does not offer the potential for abuse, although further studies need to substantiate this finding."Androxal is produced by Zonagen and the drug is considered similar to Androgel.

What makes Androxal unique is that it's a properitary, small molecule, orally active product candidate being developed for the treatment of testosterone deficiency in men. Androxal is designed to restore normal testosterone production in males versus competitive solutions that externally replace testosterone.

I just looked it up - it's basically a particular isomer of Clomid. What's interesting is that typical clomid consists of two isomers. One is an estrogen antagonist and the other is an estrogen agonist. The antagonist isomer actually makes up about 60% of normally-produced clomid and has a different half-life than the agonist. The company has isolated the antagonist isomer to get a compound that's even more effective in raising testosterone in hypogonadal men.

Sounds like the new PCT drug of choice!

Hey AG-Guys, this sounds like a great candidate for something I would like to research on my rats with! :)

Prilosec (omeprazole) is a mixture of an R and S enantiomer. Nexium (esomeprazole) is one of the isomers, which has a longer serum halflife.

AstraZeneca moved to "isolate" nexium when prilosec was about to lose patent protection, in order to keep turning a profit. Nexium is the king of "me too" drugs that are responsible for part of the tremendous growth in cost of healthcare dollars.

It sounds as if Androxal fits right into this category. No _real_ research was done, but someone decided to ride on the shoulders of giants, and if they can prove a marked improvement vs placebo, they have got themselves some cool cash.

My guess is there will not be a difference in clinical outcomes between groups treated with clomiphene citrate vs androxal. Also, androxal is a "mixed agonist" not straight agonist, making it a SERM.

Save your $$, stay with clomiphene.

Just tried p-boost after reading some reviews about it. Worked good but pretty pricey. The trial was free but you have to pay for the shipping which was quick. Anyone know any coupon codes for p-boost.com?
