A little overwhelmed

I've read these posts and have to admit I'm a bit overwhelmed

I would like input from veterans on how someone my age and physique should proceed.

I'm 36 yo, 5'10 and 245. My body fat % is around 35. Yes I'm a fatbody so please be nice. I try to work out and I don't see results or feel good and get discouraged so I'm asking where and how do I start.

Thanks.

I'm interested in both natural and AS. If all could help that would be great!

Yes diet. IMO, you need to FORGET about any AS or AAS usage at all. RIght now, you need to get your diet and cardio together. Basically you need a lifestyle change. You need to hit the weights hard, cardio harder and have a very clean diet.

GO to the diet board here and look at Mr. X's stickys. Maybe you should look into a keto type diet. ckd....check out all the stuff over there.

I really appreciate it, I must agree that diet turned into a problem. 6 years ago I quit drinking (yes I had a problem) and weighed 180 lbs. I was in the army and running approx 30 miles a week. Food took over will check the diet post out.

Thanks again.

Your asking questions and thats whats important. :) Welcome to the boards!

Diet, of course -- but I wouldn't recommend anything fancy that will overwhelm you further. Keep it simple. This is all you need to know about diet to get started:

Eat wholsesome food emphasiizing protein, but eat less. The end.

The next thing you need to do is get a good weight training routine going as well as increasing calorie burning actibities, such as more walking, riding a bike, playing a sport.

Do these thing and in one month you will be look and feel a thosand times better than you do now. I guarantee it.

1.Take a good look at what you’re currently eating. Take all of the junk food, throw it away and stop buying it. Start filtering what you put in your refrigerator. When I say that, I mean only allow what’s healthy for you. As far as what to eat, there are a bunch of different strategies to follow. You may want to look into Mr. X’s CKD (as Kronk said).

2.Start setting goals. (Reasonable ones)

3.Cardio exercise. Try to get in a good one-hour workout, 5 days a week.

4.Hit the weights. (Use higher reps) Don’t overwhelm yourself with everything. Start off with basics. Use free weights. Don’t over train.

5.Reach short-term goals. Maybe your goal is one or two pounds a week.

6.Vary your program, especially when you hit platues. I’m sure you’ll hit them, and I don’t want to hear that you quit because you were discourages by it. Keep it up!

7.Vary your diet. Keep your diet healthy and fresh. You don’t want a boring diet that’s going to allow you to lose attention with what your goals are.

8.As far as supplements, pick yourself up a good multivitamin. I don’t feel like commenting on other supplements because everyone has different opinions. I’m sure you’ll find out what’s the best fat burners, etc when you see the supplement and diet board.

9.Keep us updated, we’re all here to help each other bro. If you need motivation. Post a message. If you have a problem, post a message.

10.Don’t touch AAS. You don’t need it. At least not yet.
