This is for the evening ,help please: My second workout is at 7:00 pm, after that im good and hungry around 9:00 , bed at 10:00.I don't want to eat anything that will not help me as i sleep and recover,(empty carbs..) What i have been doing is eating 4 Oz of canned salmon"pink in water" and a 6oz lite yogurt.Great protein in these, but is that to much carb in the Yogurt before bed.How about the patasium, the yogurt is full of that, what are the beifits of patasium or the negs..straighten this snack out,if it is ok,what can i change it too on odd days(my wife is sick of me smelling like Fish and strawbury's at night,LOL)
No powder shakes please.

Cottage cheese is an ideal pre-bed meal, it's a long acting protein that you will assimilate throughout the evening.

Eggs are also a good choice as they take a pretty long time to absorb.

Stay away from Yogurt before bed, it isn't helping you any...

There is too many carbs as that yogurt probably has sugar in it. Plain yogurt would be ok.

What exactly do you mean by potassium? is that the full listing on the ingredients?

Potassium is one of the ions in the body, intracellular ion that creates a electric potential across membranes, which will cause muscles to contract, nerve impulses, things like that. There is potassium in most foods.

If your carbs are lower at night (carb tapering or carb curfews), eating fat at night is not a problem.

I used to take all my fat in at night when I was dieting with carb tapering (all the starchy carbs like my oats and potatoes and rice up until about 4 pm before working out), take in a few carbs after working out, and then I would have a salad with olive oil dressing.
