A-dex vs. Nolva, Pt. 2

I need more information (i.e. hard science) regarding A-dex vs. Nolva. Some think that nolva hinders the gains that would normally result from a cycle. I've heard a few different opinions. The predominant one seems to be that the nolva binds to the testosterone receptors as well as the estrogen receptors, thus hindering gains. Is that correct, or does it hinder gains by some other means? Does it really hinder gains at all? Need some feed back.

It hinders gains by inhibiting IGF (insuling growth factors). This is all i remember but if you can, PM Jenetic as he has the study and can explain it all in no nonsense lingo.

However i do remember the study said it lowered blood serum levels of IGF by something like 20%

Hope this helps!

they are 2 different drugs...a-dex eliminates the FORMATION of estrogen..and nolva simply BLOCKS estrogen at the receptor site...the best way is to run a-dex during the cycle with nolva on hand if gyno sypmtoms occur..start out light with the a-dex maybe 1/4mg eod..

Nolva merely inhibits serum IGF-1 levels by about 20%, but it has NOT been shown to inhibit intramuscular IGF-1 (IGF-1Ea_, the type of IGF-1 relevant to muscle growth. No, nolva does not hinder gains.

Also, it's not adex OR nolva, you use both. Additionally, adex does NOT eliminate the formation of estrogen....it merely reduces it in a dose-dependent manner. Never is our goal to eliminate estrogen....in fact, we want high estrogen levels....just not high enough to cause hypertension. using a low dose AI allows us to modulate our estrogen levels to the desired level. Using nolva allows us to maintain high estrogen levels without experiencing estrogenic sides at the mammary (gyno). It's not a one or the other thing.....they complement each other. The "nolva hinders gains" mantra is so old and unsubstantiated......move on.
