I was gone for the weekend, and when i came back there was a business card stuck in my door with a police officer's name on it & a phone number. I don't know what they want.

I'm going to call to see what he wants, if he wants to interrogate me i will do my best to get an attorney beforehand.

This sucks. Does anyone else have a misdemeanor on their record? does it fuck with your ability to get a job?

If i am going to be arrested why would he leave a card on my door instead of coming back to catch me off guard? (i've read in police interrogation manuals that cops catch suspects off guard so they will be more defenseless).

first of all - what kind of shit do you have to be worried about?

second - if the cops wanted to bust you for something, i doubt they'd leave a business card and a note for you to kindly call them so they can come bust your ass.

so - call the pig from somewhere neutral, find out what he wants. for all you know there could've been a string of burglaries in the neighborhood, and the cop wants to ask you if you've seen anything.

As for me - the first shit that would pop into my head - "Jesus, tell me that bitch was 18".

he could want to question you about something else that happened around the area... that was similar to you... to see if you know anything about it... cops frequently go back to guys who were busted to see if they have "heard" anything
