A constructive comment on the new EF site...

well, the thread I post on doesn't even show up in my subscribed section - I think I have like 17000.

and this thread doesnt' show up...

No shit. I hate that 300 or whatever subscribed threads junk. Takes up my entire screen and I have to ctrl-end now to jump to the bottom.

We need the mods (admin) to start a thread to list what needs to be fixed so we can unify this all in one sweep. I have some issues to, and I PMed Frank, but I know Admin is on top of most of the shitz. What happens if we all OM him? He get information overload and our feedback becomes counterproductive.

I know we all see it on our end, but I was (a few years ago) running a financial advisory service on the net, and I had a TON of technical issues. My clients would hit me left and right demanding perfection (and they, like us, deserved it!), and I ended up working more on the admin side rather than on my technical analysis. I immediately FIXED it - but it TAKES TIME. I told them to stop posting in the forums and tell me directly. I only has 200 clients, much less then here, so my recommendation is...

To all of the members of EF and ADMIN:

1) Admin: Create a sticky, and let people post there. Listen, respond, and I know they will fix it! My bet is they already know. It takes time people to write code. Trust me. If you have never dealt with BBcode or C++, C or Java you have no idea the amount of work they have done.

2) MEMBERS of EF. They care about us! They will respond. I love you MM69, and I know you mean the best, but we need organized feedback. We post a zillion posts here every day. It is good you posted this but it will get lost in the chaos. Good post!

The resolution? PM admin. Leave the boards clean unless the mods/admin create a sticky.

Lets make this organized and productive!

I think its pretty cool. I no longer see banner ads!!! Good bro thumbs up

You decide how you want to subscribe to a thread when you are posting or replying to it. At the end of new thread and new reply pages (except quick reply), there is a "Thread Subscription" pulldown and you can select how you want to subsribe it (or not subscribe it).

For a default setting which will apply to all replied threads/posts from now on, you can configure the option in your profile/edit options page/Default Thread Subscription Mode:
