A college proffessor tried to cheat me on a test because I corrected her.

I can't believe it. I'm ecstatic and angry at the same time. This is an A&P class that I have to take to get into nursing. I need to make an A. It's graded on the class average for everyone that has taken the class since its origin 25 years ago. I studied my ass off and was sure that I made way over the average. 15 points over the average is an A. The class average for 25 years is 60. When I got my paper back I made a +15, barely an A. I thought surely it had to be wrong. Maybe I've lost brain cells over the years. Well tonight I asked the teacher if I could review my test. She said yes, for about 10 minutes. She seemed nervous. I only missed 11 questions out of 145 and I found 3 mistakes on the test, so I actually only missed 8 out of 145. The lecture part of test counted for 75% of grade, the lab part 25%. I got everything right on the lab test. I told her in front of other students, "How did I make a 75 when I only got 11 questions wrong when you graded the test. She said because its graded on a formula. I had to argue with her several minutes b4 she admitted her mistake. She said, "Oh I added wrong." No shit. I don't believe a college teacher can be that stupid. I ended up making a + 37 which may be the highest grade ever in 25 years. The day of the lab test she told the class that we needed to round 2 decimal places on the test. She said, "For example if the answer is 7.89, you would round to 7.9" I said, "No that's not right, you would round to 7.90". I corrected her in front of the class and I believe she tried to sabotage my test to get even with me. Unfuckingbelievable. That could have cost me getting into nursing school. The thing is, she seemed like a nice lady, but I don't believe a college proffessor can be that stupid.

That's the main reason I flipped some professors off when I got my final diploma! Kept my mouth shut untill then! If I had to go back to college I think I would off myself! The Babes and beer was great, but the professor/grad student BS is fucking rediculess and so was the ass kissing! And I fucking hate Top Rama!

It's not nursing school. It's the class I need to get into nursing school. I've had some shitty teachers, but this poor lady has got to be the dumbest yet. I still think she did it on purpose, her math skills can't be that bad.

I left the paper stuck to his door with a knife through it... and a note suggesting he reread it.

He actually turned out to be a cool guy, admitted the grade was too low... and thought the knife through the door was funny.

You should take a huge steamer on her desk on a Friday night so that when she comes in on Monday morning it won't be so fresh anymore and the entire room will smell like feces. No kidding, I once took a shit in a man's potted plant. Do a search on here. I should turn her in to the head of the department but I nearly always give people the benefit of the doubt. She didn't apologize though.

That is shitty as hell dude... props to you for taking a stand I've had to do similar things in school (not as much on the line though.) Some people just grin and bear it as if the teachers/profs are always right no matter what but the truth is they make plenty of mistakes (sometimes intentional IMO.)

IF YOURE GOING TO CORRECT A TEACHER.....DONT DO IT IN FRONT OF OTHER STUDENTS. TEACHERS HATE TO BE EMBARRASSED MORE THAN ANYTHING, THATS WHY THEY ALWAYS PULL RANK.....CUZ THEY HAVE NO OTHER EXCUSE.

I used to have arguments with the guy who corrected my weekly math exercise sheet in 2nd eyar in college.

Basically, I would do the exercises, and my buddies would copy them from me. Because their sheets were always pristine and tidy, due to not having done any WORK, they got, like, 9/10. Since mine as a bit messy the guy didn't read it and gave me always like 6/10. Every week.

And every week I would be down at his desk at the end of the class arguing. He first used to say "I deducted points for presentation" but I would point out that the department had NO policy on presentation grades, such a move was not officially authorised and if he liked I would take that one all the way to the dean. I would ask why, essentially, my friend has the same results but I got less. He would hum and haw, anything but admit he hadn't bothered to actually read it as it was a bit messy (note he was PAID PER SHEET to correct these), and eventually he would give in and give me the grade he gave her. he'd say, "make sure it's less messy next week" and I would reply "I can read this, my friends can read it, the lecturer can read it, if you can't read students' exercise sheets, then maybe you shouldn't be taking this class - furthermore, my writing is not the best BUT every single instructor I have had has been able to read it, what's your problem?".

Every. single. goddamn. week. These sheets contributed to my end-of-year grade BTW which is why I got so pissy about them, that and not liking being done over.

He was also an asshole who made stupid jokes and just got on my nerves generally, he was a grad student so I knew I could get him in shit with faculty if necessary. That kind of person annoys the living hell outta me.

ps yes, I was the student bitch from hell. But also top of the class.
