What I viddied with my platchkos, oh my brothers, were lovely, lovely pictures and it was horrorshow, as I felt malenky hairs growing endwise on my plot.

Anyone else love this fucking movie?

It's a toss up between Full Metal Jacket as far as my favorite Kubrick film is concerned.

Time for a little of the ol' in-out, in-out....

My Favorite Kubrick movies

Clock Work Orange
2001 A Space Odyssey
Full Metal Jacket.

(Saw full metal jacket this past weekend.)

Ho, Ho, Ho... Well, if it isn't stinking Billygoat Billyboy in poison. How are thou, thou globby bottle of cheap stinking chip oil? Come and get one in the yarbles, if you have any yarbles, you eunuch jelly thou.

kick ass movie

It seems like many people fail to appreciate the horrific nature of the lifestyle and violence that Burgess & Kubrick were portraying, but it also seems fairly often that Kubrick's messages get lost in his style.

LOVE that movie....I remember when I was kid my parents hid the movie on me so I wouldn't watch. I read the book first and said damn I gotta see this.

Did anyone like "Eyes Wide Shut" besides me. I know when I saw it with my ex and my brother and his fiancee all three hated it. I must be weird

The first time I saw A Clockwork Orange, I was fascinated with it in the same way that I was when I read Orwell's "1984". Kind of like watching a car wreck on the side of the highway. Then I saw it again after I studied Russian in college - a lot of the colloquialisms in the movie are Russian based - malinky, my droogies, etc. So I had a better understanding of at least the dialog. But it is truly a disturbing movie. Both from the violence & sex acts that the main guy is involved in, and then the aftermath where he gets it basicallly pounded out of him with the sensory overload. (Reminds me of that scene of Axl in that ()*(@(#&*! G n' R video who's name I can't remember right now)

Full Metal Jacket was intense, but also very disturbing.

Eyes Wide Shut put me to sleep.

Kubrick is truly amazing!

Oh my droogies:

Great book and great movie.

What do you think about Barrry Lyndon and Eyes wide shut?, they are very good too.

:smash:

Why was Eyes Wide Shut such an annoying movie to sit through? Was it Tom & Nicole or the movie or the story or what??? I fell asleep.

But then I fell asleep twice watching 2001: A Space Odessey - right at the part with the apes in the beginning. Once I made it past that it was an excellent movie. 2010 got a little to "new age" for me. But 2001 was truly thought provoking in the same sense as all those traditional sci-fi authors - Azimov, "1984" of course, Ray Bradbury, etc.

All of Kubrick's stuff really makes you wonder about just how non-evolved humans really are...
