A bit concerned about this......

I did a my first quad shot on Thursday night. All seemed fine, no pain after the shot, and i could walk ok etc. When I woke up on Friday morning, I felt a bit of pain just above the knee, about 6-7 inches below the injection site. By Friday night I could hardly walk, and there was quite a bit of swelling just above the knee - the puncture site is healed fine and the swelling and pain is much lower down than where the needle went in. I took a couple of Declafenac potassium pills before bed (px anti-inflamatories) and woke up this morning feeling pretty good - very little pain at all. Problem is today, i've spent the entire day on my feet - and now i'm back at home and the pain is worse than ever. There is a s**t load of swelling just above the knee - very difficult to walk, and the skin is a little red, and obviousley quite warm. What do you think guys?????? I dont think this is an abcess as the swelling and pain is much much lower down than the site of the shot. One guy has suggested that I may not have injected deeply enough and may have injected into fat. Can this cause any long term problems or do you think this will pass in a few days.

Thanks in advance.

So you think I should leave it at least a week to 10 days before I get too concerned??? I injected on Thursday night, now its saturday night, so two nights ago. I'm just wondering if this has happened to anyone else. This cant be normal with a quad shot. Iranian Test Enan is supposed to be painless, which it was. The pain and swelling here is like 7 inched down from the injection site.

Well I always do quads, and I have had it hurt above my knee
(well below injection site), but I'm not really sure why. It went away after a few days, but I didn't have any swelling or heat?

I'm not sure why this happens, but it does from time to time. Some think that you actually don't go into the muscle but inbetween and the oil leaks down. Don't sweat it, advil does a great job at reducing that soreness.

I;m not sure why this happens either. It happens to me every time I hit quads. It never hurts at the injection site, but rather right above my knee cap and below the injections site. The only thing I can figure is the gears exoands the muscle and that is turn puts pressure on a nerve which causes the pain. That's the only thing I can come up with.
