9/11- Noam Chomsky Anyone read?

didn't he also support the Khmer Rouge?

I would not say that he supported them. I would say that he believed that the exaggerated numbers the west (namely the US) came up with was used to excuse their actions and the US's support of other repressive regimes (that seemed like the lesser of two evils when compared to the "evil" Khmer Rouge).

chomsky is great when it comes to 'creative wording' and passing half-truths and lies as facts. the guy is notorious for downplaying the holocaust and associating them with 'american war crimes' and even going as far as calling the united states a 'terrorist state.' he has also written in support of french neo-nazi's (faurisson and guillaume) and even did the preface for one of their books...yet no one raises an eyebrow about this american dissenter, jew hating, communist sympathizing, liberal. go figure.

He is Jewish and therefore has the right to examine the Holocaust objectively and critically.

The US has had its share of state sponsored terrorism. it just happens that you do not notice it since you are American ("and proud of it...," sorry had to throw that in).

He would not be what is normally defined a liberal or a communist (which, by the way, are two totally different things).

The Sick Mind of Noam Chomsky
By David Horowitz
FrontPageMagazine.com | September 26, 2001

WITHOUT QUESTION, the most devious, the most dishonest and -- in this hour of his nation’s grave crisis – the most treacherous intellect in America belongs to MIT professor Noam Chomsky.

I think they really do not like each other. Therefore, they are very biased when speaking about each other. Not worth reading.

This assertion that someone who has a preconceived notion concerning an idea, person, etc. cannot therefore be a credible opinion is absolutely insane.

The authors can only present their sides and the supporting evidence and the readers are required to decide what side carries greater truth, through further investigation of the information presented by the two sides. The onus is upon the reader to either know or search out the validity of the two arguments.

One person can hate the other with all his/her being and still be totally correct and valid in all his/her assertions.

So critical examination of the Holocaust in the sole prerogative of Jews? By that logic, it can be inferred that non-Americans (yourself?) are forbidden from criticizing US policies.

I am proud to have served my country. i don't deny our state sponsored terrorism. We've done bad bad shit ergarding foreign policy. But we've helped a lot of people too.

we're a giant - the only one right now, and when we move, sometimes people get squashed. Not trying to excuse it, but it is impossible for the US to behave in such a manner as to make everyone happy.

Point is that when reading something by an author, it is helpful to have read some of his other work so as to help you put it all in context.

duh.

have I told you lately that you are a prick?

he has a differnt perspective, thats a good think, alot of the things he is saying is true, btw he is jewish, but here in America we all hate it when a person thinks differently so people 'hate' Choam and his writing, people should read and get the views of others, instead of just beliving the television set and the government, and dont hate other cause they have a differnt opinion, after all we dont all want to think alike which seems like its happening
