Ok, let see how many we can remember...and it only counts if you can remember there move.

Ravishing Rick Rude-"The Rude Awakening"

P.S. just one at a time please so others can have a turn!

ted diabiase, the million dollar dream (sleeper hold)

ric flair - figure 4 leglock

Greg the hammer Valentine - Figure 4 leglock

Nikita Koloff - russian sickle (clothesline)

Tito Santana - Flying forearm (as bobby heenan called it, the flying burrito)

Mine might be late 80s early 90s. Earthquake had the earthquake, where he just jumped around the ring and somehow that really hurt. I was 8 and was like "This is retarded."

Plus there was Flying Brian's Flying bulldog i think? That one was really cool.

Ultimate warrior never really had a special move i can remember. He just had a flurry of them after every single match when he would start shaking on the ropes like he was being possessed by the god of wrestling to kick ass.

I remember that Terry Funk used to brand people whenever he won. I always wondered how that brand could have been still hot enough to burn the poor jobber who lost the match.

And I also remember that Jake The Snake Roberts used to put his boa, Damian on his victims. The snake hardly moved though and the guy was knocked out so I really didn't see the point.

oh, i got a good one...

THe Iron Sheek...Camel Clutch

COCO B. Ware...I can't remember his move, the Peacock shuffle maybe???

Dusty Rhodes - The Bionic Elbow
Jake "The Snake" Roberts - DDT
Jimmy Snuka - Superfly Splash
Paul "Mr. Wonderful" Orndorff - Pile Driver

George the Animal Steele...

finishing move: lose interest in the match and start chewing up the turnbuckle.

The WORST finishing move had to belong to THE REPO MAN. I honestly don't remember what it was called, but it was some sort of leg lock. Basically he just wrapped both his legs around one of his opponents legs...and this was supposed to be a submission hold.

then you missed out on guys like Midnight Express, the 4 horsemen (back when they were the shit), Ronnie Garvin (who had a shitty finishing move -- the garvin stomp), the road warriors (when they were the shit), I forget but there are lots more.

best 4 horsemen lineup, Flair, Blanchard,Arn and Ole Anderson.
Other greats Jimmy Valiant, Hercules Hernadez, Kerry Von Erich, The Freebirds.
Best match (tie)Road Warriors vs. Midnight Express scaffold match
Flair vs Sting wcw champ match
Nwa was far better than WWF in the 80's. Better matches less cartoon charcters.

road warriors move was called the doomsday device

baron von ratsky had the claw... but that may have been before the 80's

Koko B. Ware - Missle Drop Kick
Terry Funk - Spinning Toe Hold
Texas Tornado Kerry Von Erich - Tornado (Discus) Punch
Mr Wrestling II - Atomic knee lift
SD "Special Delivery" Jones - Small package (get it special delivery...small package...Pure wrestling genius)

I know it isnt from the 80's....but Nick Foley aka Mankind and the "Mandible Claw" warrants mention on any list of finishing moves and their lack or realism.

Mick Foley. Foley kind of has a history of weak finishers. Double arm DDT. Elbow drop from the apron to the floor. I think it is mostly attributible to his lack of athleticism. Sure could take a bump though.

As a interesting bit of wrestling trivia. The mandible claw was first used (or at least popluarized) by Dr. Sam Sheppard. He was the doctor that the movie (and TV show) the Fugitive was based. After his wife died, he lost his medical license and went into pro wrestling

Damn, this many posts and no one has mentioned Sgt. Slaughter and the Cobra Clutch - gotta be on of the most famous moves of the 80s.
.
Killer Khan did some sorta chop, flying drop thing, don't remeber the name, but I loved it when Andre the Fatass ripped out his little sissy like pony tail.

How about the junk yark dog, i don't remember his move though...was it beat the guy with a spare tire???

For some reason, Power slam comes to mind. Referred to as Thump or the Thump slam.

Rocky King = Lay down and go into spasmatic twitches
JYD = The Big Thump (running powerslam)
Hercules Hernandez = Back Breaker (later stole by Luger and called Torture Rack) before this it was the Full Nelson.
Arn Anderson = Gourd Buster
Kevin Sullivan = Gut Stomp
New Breed = Suplex into a top rope Flying Body Press
Ricky Steamboat = Top rope Flying Body Press (lame)
Abdullah the Butcher = (legal) Elbow Drop to the throat (illegal) fork, pencil, wood, cheese grater, anything else he brought from his tights
Brad Armstrong = Russian Leg Sweep
Barry Windham = Flying Lariat
Dustin Rhodes, Buddy Roberts, Sam Houston = running bulldog from corner
Don Muraco = first ever to use Tombstone Piledriver
Tony Atlas = Gorilla Press
Mr. Wrestling 1 (Tim Woods) = Sleeper Hold
Masked Superstar (a.k.a Ax from Demolition) = invented the Cobra Hold
Spoiler = Claw hold
Savannah Jack = Super Kick
Terry Taylor = Five Arm
Rick Steiner (from UWF) had the sweetest powerslam in the world, too bad he is such a fuck up now. He was even BIG back then.
Ron Simmons = Spine Buster
Van Vader = power bomb, reverse power bomb
Black Bart = Texas Trash Compactor (leg drop from second rope)
Billy Jack Haynes = Full Nelson
Jimmy Garvin = Brain Buster
Lazer Tron = Top Rope Sunset Flip
Johnny B Badd = Knock out punch
Rock n Roll Express = lame ass Double Drop Kick
Tejo Khan = DDT
Barbarian = Big Boot
Warlord (NWA) Sidewalk Slam Back Breaker
Louie Spicolli = Death Valley Driver
Raven = Even Flow DDT

Before that ridiculous "Garvin Stomp", RG was "hands of stone" and used to finish guys off with one punch. Road Warriors had that clothesline from the top rope thing where Animal held the guy up on his shoulders.

Good times ...:)

Ken Patera - full nelson

Does anyone know if Rocky King had a finishing move?

Yes. Rocky would viciously lay down on his back after about five minutes of selling the other guys moves. He's been banned in four counties.

Bob Backlund(spelling?) = The Chicken Wing

all the easy ones were taken, I am spent with this one. I had a bunch but I was too slow!
