8 sets of 8

I recently switched my workout to Vince Gironda's 8 sets of 8 technique. So far it's a lot of fun - exhausting, requires all your focus and you can feel each fiber burning.

I would appreciate some insights from anyone who tried it too, etc.

THANKS ALREADY!!!

after a nice 5x5 with heavy dips or flat bench press I think you could do some 8x8 db flies for some metabolic stress.

A bunch of volume. Do you NEED that much to grow? Probably not, which makes it inefficient, IMHO.

8 sets of 8 . . . if you're lucky, the first set of 8 will be heavy. But even then, it's not "that" heavy b/c you can do it 8 times. So you don't generate a lot of muscular tension. Personally, I think you'd be better off running a few heavier sets (3x3, 5x5, 5 singles, etc.) and finishing w/ 3-4 sets of 8 if you want.
