This is why you don't live on the coastal pacific reason of globe.

we're not in the ring of fire but CO has baby quakes from time to time. thanx to our rocky mountain fault lines. we had a 3.7 back in august 09 somewhere near craig/steamboat!? 2.8 30 miles south west of trinidad yesterday. denver had a 6.6 in 1892 which is odd.
Everywhere has baby quakes from time to time. In the 70's Colorado experience tons of earthquakes due to drilling/fluid emplacement in our fault escarpment. Though considered a seismically dead area we still get the occasional shift, but it isn't caused by local phenomena. One of the biggest earthquakes ever in the landlocked areas af the US was in Missouri in the 1800's now that was bizarre and still unexplained.

my gf has been up early on the USGS website, investigating. (she tracks and reads about quakes too, ever since she was caught in the Northridge quake in '94...and we live in northridge right now).
she thinks this recent activity around the pacific ring is meaningful, and bodes ill for us here in cali. thoughts?
