OH, but that would be welfare! Next thing, you'll be wanting to give them food stamps to use at the college cafeteria and free abortions to the knocked-up coeds.

It is one of those laughs that is followed by tears.

The US economy is unfortunately going to spiral down because of this invasion. It is unfortunate because the US will drag the rest of the world along with it.

give me a break. you want us to give even more money to people who dont do ANYTHING for this country as it is? the people on all of these social services benefits are making out better than our people in uniform, and you want to give them even more? how the fuck is that fair?

why do you people want to continually reward those who do *NOTHING* for society?

In the case of reduced or free college education, it is quite beneficial for the whole economy. The more people are educated, the faster the economy will grow.

The more people with good salaries equals to more people will spend and so on and so forth.

This is the same logic as giving corporation huge tax breaks so they can continue to grow, employ people and help grow the economy.

What do you think of that?

Oh yeah, get your as on AOL!!!

and why do you continue to assume that those who seek help do nothing? you will be suprised as to how many people feel that those who work hard and stuggle to get by deserve some help. i am a prime example. injured and out of work for ahwile, no help avaliable for me. why? i make too much money and i don't have kids. do i deserve help, some say yes others no. me i say: i feel i'm more deserving than those who leech the system.

If you spent $1000 a day, everyday. From the day Jesus was born until present, you still wouldn't have 1 billion. 75 billion is SOOOO fucking much money. It is almost incomprehensible.

do you take a check??? i want to know where the money is coming from.

No, it wouldn't be welfare, because it's likely that kids who would have gone to college have parents who paid that $75 billion. It's their money.

It's only welfare when you're giving money to someone who didn't earn it.

The fact is, that the higher up on the income scale you go, the MORE entitled someone is to welfare, rather than the other way around.

Fact.

The sum of a bunch of facts is a fact. Let's analyze the facts.

Fact #1: You are entitled to whatever you pay for.

Fact #2: Welfare is paid for by taxes.

Fact #3: People with more income pay more taxes.

Fact #4: People with more income pay $X for welfare, while people with less income pay $Y for welfare.

Fact #5: $X > $Y

Therefore,

The higher up on the income scale you go, the MORE entitled someone is to welfare.

that somewhat makes sense to me. The day will never come that the rich get welfare, but still a good point
