70's Bodybuilders

Back in the 70's in Montreal, the expos players would actually go to a local bar downtown after every game and they would be so approachable. Everyone would get drunk, have a ton of laughs and just go all out nuts. I wasn't born until the mid-70's but my uncles said they would have blasts whenever the expos played at home. Nowadays, players (especially baseball players) cannot be approached. Hockey players are still the most generous and curteous in pro sports.

look at gaspari, mentzer, haney, arnold, and the others put them on gh and slin and they would destroy whats here today. cutler to me looks the best head to toe and he keeps improving. no gh gut that i have seen just great genetics. lee labrad, bob paris all had the perfect blend of size and shape though not mass monsters. dorian was the first i feel to push the envelope on slin and gh. ronnie ahs taken it to far and will not win the arnold if he competes and will never see another olympia award. and when he shrinks down from the cease of the steriods than what?

i blame a bit of preservitives and the horomones in the animals we eat

I don't relate being fat to genetics. In general, people are bigger, faster and smarter IMO.

hmmm i don't know about that. Almost everyone i know is taller and bigger than their father or their fathers father.

Not mine. Patsfan knows about the size of the original Polish Hammer. It is pretty damn ridiculous.

Baseball players now are pretty bad. My little bro just got drafted and he says some of the guys that he played with this last season are mostly overpaid pricks. Whoever said hockey players are the most down to earth is absolutely correct. Those guys are cool as hell. Probably because they play one of the most demanding professional sports.

Steve Garvey.....The guy is a prick. All other names mentioned are welcome additions to the thread.

Where were you during the infamous "pine-tar home run"?

That makes two of us. He had that insane look in his eye. He also had half a bag of Red-Man in his mouth at the time and it was flying all over the place.

To comment on the recent award for Cal Ripken's streak as the most memorable baseball moment.......

The "Pine tar" incident wins for me. Everyone remembers that. Not Cal Ripkens streak. That was a record, it took years. Key word, moment. Anybody agree? Cure?

I personally like Joe Carter's winning homerun in the 93 series. Stands out the most in my mind.
