To get results it is neccessary to feed your body all day long as apposed to eating it all at once. It's my understanding that only so much is absorbed at one time & if you do not take in a good balance of it throughout the day, you will lose most of it durring the digestion process. I don't know the scientific explanation but, I do know that it IS neccessary. Just as, the composition of your post workout meal is very important in replenishing lost nutrients durring your workout. It's also relative to burning calories througout the day. Think of your body as a fireplace, if you throw a large log on it, it will burn very slowly at a low temp & may even burn out. Where, if you constantly put quality kindeling in it, it will maintain a higher temp & burning rate. Same with calories.
