6 meals a day??

Is it really necessary to constantly flood your body with protein? When your muscles really need it and you haven't eaten for many hours won't your body compensate? When you finally do get a meal with alot of protein won't your body utilize a lot more than normal to make up for the deprivation?

" You haven't eaten for many hours won't your body compensate?" - Yes. By cannibalizing muscle tissue.

" When you finally do get a meal with alot of protein won't your body utilize a lot more than normal to make up for the deprivation?" - Far as I know there are different schools of thought on this, but the most widely accepted is that you can only assimilate a given amount of protein per sitting, somewhere around 40 grams.

To get results it is neccessary to feed your body all day long as apposed to eating it all at once. It's my understanding that only so much is absorbed at one time & if you do not take in a good balance of it throughout the day, you will lose most of it durring the digestion process. I don't know the scientific explanation but, I do know that it IS neccessary. Just as, the composition of your post workout meal is very important in replenishing lost nutrients durring your workout. It's also relative to burning calories througout the day. Think of your body as a fireplace, if you throw a large log on it, it will burn very slowly at a low temp & may even burn out. Where, if you constantly put quality kindeling in it, it will maintain a higher temp & burning rate. Same with calories.
 
i need alot of protein to grow 400-550grm ed while on as i have tried 300-350 but it was week and yes i eat every 2 hrs 8 meals ed i started tranning 5 years ago 3 on as now i was 180 15% bf 6 foot i am now 241lbs 7%bf thanks to diet first tranning second as last so to me yes protein is very important to grow
 
I don't know about all of this 550 gram/day stuff( probably cuz I don't weigh 250), I do weigh about 185(and I'm pretty happy w/ that, I have good shape and pretty low bf). But, Yes, eating every 2-3 hrs. is vital to even just being a healthy active person. I eat about 250g of protein while off... about 300 while on, and I almost always eat close to 500 carbs(when cutting I cut that in half).
