Is this really the best workout for weight gains for skinny guys? I never seem to see many muscle size increases and usually get discouraged. Is there a better way to go for size or is this as good as it gets?
 
You can choose that one, or Jim Wendler's 531, or Starting Strength by Rippetoe. They should all work well if you follow them to the letter.

i don't think you can call any program "the best"... but if you want a program who guys see tremendous gains on and is put together by a guy who really knows his shit, then yes you should do 5x5 training.
