5x5 people come here

when you do your 5x5 programme do you work each muscle group only once per set?? or sometimes more?? won't it get sore as hell if u work it more than once 5 times??

set=like when ur doin the 5x5 programme u do 5 reps, 5 sets, so the question is, do u work each muscle group once each set, like do 3 different weights that work different muscle groups each set??
 
No offence intended but until you read up some basic information on the nature of the compound exercises, it's hard to discuss these themes. As a, maybe clarifying, example: one might do 5x5 in the squat in the following manner:

Bar 10 reps warmup/limbering
65 lbs 10 reps warmup/limbering
135 pounds 5 reps warmup
225 5 reps
250 5 reps
270 5 reps
290 5 reps
315 5 reps

As I mentioned in an earlier post in another thread, this exercise (the squat) works many "muscle groups" simultaneously.
 
You need to do some reading. But I think I understand your question -- you'd work several muscles. For example, on Monday you squat (5 sets of 5), then you work chest/shoulders/tri's with bench press (5 sets of 5), and then you work back/rear delts/bis with bent-over BB rows (5 sets of 5). And then you do some assistance exercises (abs, arms, lower back, etc.).

sounds to me like you should buy starting strength (as is recommended in EVERY other 5x5 thread known to man) and work out a beginners program, as even the 5x5 SF program isn't really for beginners (sounds like you are).
