5x5 for me?

IncredibleHoss

MVP
EF VIP
Ive just surpassed my 1st year of bodybuilding and I started out around 18 years old, 6'0 150 lbs and through one year of rigorous training, bulking and hard work I'm standing around 6'0 195 lbs. It's almost surreal that I naturally put on 45 lbs in one year. I still have plenty of room for growth, but I turned in from stick skinny to a decent sized teenager. I'm hooked to the lifestyle and always am looking to better myself.
GOALS: Strength and more size in everybody part.
5RM-225 Bench
5RM-295 Squat
Deadlifts Been awhile but 275 I would assume
How should i start should i just do though
bench/squat/deads mon-fri. what about other lifts?

The last two lines just confused me, but, do it as outlined on Madcow's site and you will hit your goals.

Well Lik ehow should todays workout go for today. Say for bench
5x5
Warmupx10
155-5
185-5
205-5
225-5
(force rep 245-5)

Something like that?

Lol. would if i had the time, to much research for classes and hardly no time for this.

That's your loss then, nobody on here is going to do the work for you though. If you can't find 15 minutes to read up on the site, then working out is not a priority for you, and you should just forget about it.

Maybe this routine just isnt the path for me. I checked it out but atleast i found some good informative form videos which was nice.
OH well ill keep to my shit

Tell ya what, here's the link you don't even have to read

http://www.geocities.com/elitemadcow1/5x5_Program/Linear_5x5.htm#File Download

Download the file, it is an excel spreadsheet that you simply type in the weights you currently use and computes everything for you. Tells you what lifts to do, what ramping to use, and how to plan for progression for 9 weeks. At the end of 9 weeks, don't stop, just program in new numbers and keep it running till it stalls.

He's too lazy to even goto the site and read for 20 minutes, don't give him ANY help. He doesn't deserve it.

Benefit of the doubt I suppose. Was kinda rude in his log, thought I should help out a little. Besides, maybe if the program works for him, he'll go back and figure out WHY it worked.

You're a better man than I .....

Zg your being a real ..... right now. I know a lot of Ef'ers are powerlifters and are all about strength but Its not how much you can lift its how much you look like you can lift.

I have 18 credit hours + other obligations and research many things right now i do not have the time for so I made some bookmarks and will come back to this when this semester is over and i can focus on my job and bodybuilding.

Thanks for the rude remarks and bullshit.

Oh and btw I was just looking for a link to a log to follow not for somebody to specificially tell me what the hell to do and how much to do.

Whatever man, This place has changed a lot. Where did all the good members go man.

Hey congrats. That is solid weight gain you got. Nice job. I like the 5x5 and recommend it but if you are making gains with what you are doing then go for it I say then when you are no longer pleased with what you are doing try the 5x5. The is more than just 5 sets or 5 reps. It is a progressive type training that forces you to set and reach new PR's. It will kick your ass like no other workout. Keep up the good work.

lol at z dude.
weird how your deadlift is so crappy?
Everything else is really good, 5x5 is good if you don't know the basic principles of working out. Progessive overload, intensity, heavy.

You are 19 yrs old right - be gone, back to C&C w/ you.

And Z gave good advice - go read and learn for yourself. It is pretty simple 'teach a man to fish' stuff IMO.

If you go back and read the thread your bomb's are pointless. You basically said you were to busy to read and for someone to just lay it out there for you. Sorry, but I am too busy to worry about YOUR training. Mine is hard enough.

Thanks for being an ass yourself. I went out of my way to look up the link for the program, and don't even get a thanks. If you want a damn log, how bout looking on the message boards? I was responding to your post that "you didn't wanna read for 20 mins". Good ridance.

I'm feeling too busy to do any lifting today. Would someone mind moving some iron for me and dusting off the rack? Let me know how well I did.
