5x5 and cutting

Sub-Zero

High End Bro
Platinum
is it possible to do 5x5 while cutting or should one avoid it? if yes then what kinds of adjustments should one make (im going to be cutting when i finish this 5x5 im doing)

if thsi has already been adressed just say so and ill try and search for it

Unless you are savagely starving yourself and have zero energy you will be fine. Cutting unless extreme has little bearing on the workout.

so when cutting ill primarily be gaining strength, most likely not as high increases in intensity, and i wont gain any size?

did i pretty much guess right, or would i also gain mass too ;)

Yeah just try to make sure you have enough energy to get through your workouts.

psst Madcow I started a new log with the 5x5-like routine I was asking you about before. I was hoping you could check it out?

I'm kind of lost in the terms here. Assume you will gain some strength (not always but with the level of most here, it's fairly certain that this workout will make on stronger unless drastically slashing weight). Assume you likely won't gain much or any muscle. Assume you will lose significant fat. That's generally how cutting would work.

okay cool, thanks

so my first impression of this being a routine for bulking only was way off

thats good to know

I am doing 5x5 but I'm not adding weight....just hoping to maintain strength as my weight drops.
