50 mg Anavar...Too much?

Very funny.....But no, I have one hell of a DR!!!!!
That's some liberal doctor. 50 mgs is the top end of any oral dosage.
lots of underdosed or fake var out there.. hence why you see crazy dosages recommended.
usually men run 40-60mg a day.. if its good quality var that is PLENTY.
I've read of guys running 100mg+.. the problem with this is #1 var is liver toxic. and 2. they are using fake or underdosed var.

Thanks again Steve. Through research I am aware that Var is liver toxic. Still debating whether to take it or not.
This is a hella cool doctor you got there! Actually, it is the first time I actually hear of anyone getting anavar prescribed, so this is quite a unique case for me. At least in the case of a person who does not have HIV. 50 mgs is a fine dosage, not too much, and not little either. You should get good results with it.
Why not? Absolutely take it, just make sure to get some liver supporting supplement. For instance, you can get N2Gugard, which is probably the best liver supporting supplement, and use it together with anavar. In such case, your liver will be perfectly fine.

50mg is a perfect dose with real anavar.
Anavar is a carbon 17 alpha alkylated oral steroid which makes it liver toxic, yes, but it's liver toxicity is much less then other oral steroids like dbol, anadrol etc.
You can negate some of the liver toxic effects of anavar by using a good liver aid supplement when using it. I recommend N2guard from n2bm.com.
I would take the anavar. I wish my doctor prescribed me 50mg of anavar per day lol.
The toxicity is blown a bit of proportion. Remember, there are kids prescribed 100+ mg daily of Anadrol for 3-6 months at a time.
50mg of Var is a good dosage. Split the pill in half and take it in the AM and PM. You can run it for up to 12 weeks.
Keep in mind to, there is info out there thats states Var is used to treat liver damage.

Thanks for all of the replies. I guess I'll give it a go shortly. I'm just coming off a Test/Deca cycle and I want to shred. So I asked my dr. for some assistance and he said sure let me write u a script for Anavar. 
And before you guys go off on me about doing an Anavar only cycle I'm on TRT so I don't have to worry about that.
I'm 6'2 260 looking to shred to around 240/ 12%.
