$50 fine for low-riders

went to a Sonics game last night. Some chicks in front of us had some SERIOUS low riders. Didnt see any underwear though :D

Pathetic US government trying to control everybody. If someone wants to look like a fool with his pants hanging off his ass then let them.

Virginians need to concentrate on enforcing laws against inbreeding and leave peoples pants alone.

it would seem they are trying to preceed the inbreeding problem by making a law to keep people's pants on though. So, in effect...they ARE doing something about the inbreeding!!

this started a while back in prisons, guys who were light in the loafers would wear their pants low to let the other inmates know.

And what if you're not wearing underware? :verygood:

Just another case of them trying to keep the black man down.
It passed the House with flying colors and the Senate will not defeat it. It is a step in the right direction as Virginians are repulsed by the appearance, attitude, and obnoxious carelessness of those that exhibit this behavior. And yes, the black members of the Assembly are complaining, indicating that the bill is racially bias. The problem is that the POS that were their pants like this can't afford $50. So how's the collection effort going to work?

Great, a state dress code, I love it! What's next, no ball caps or shirts with sports logos?

What do you do about acts that most people find revolting?

I've seen some cases that deserved a fine for sure. Others deserved a reward.

I'm more concerned about national obesity by far. Real problem there.

Hey....thanks for the image that just created in my mind! Got some homeless disguisting fat lady walking around downtown with low low low riders running through my head now! Delete, delete, delete....

The "Droopy Drawers" Bill has been "laughed out of a Senate Committee" yesterday after the legislation was called an embarrassment to Virginia. Lawmakers felt that the news stories were giving the impression that the General Assembly was preoccupied with droopy pants.

Not the case. The law breaks down like this; $50 fine for showing underwear in a "lewd or indecent" manner, $75 fine for wearing black shoes with a brown belt and vice versa, $100 fine for wearing vertical stripes with horizontal stripes. And if you get caught wearing tweed you instantly get a job in the Virginia Senate.
