With this program, I know that the first exercise (5 x 5) should be a compound exercise. But what about the other two, for 8-10 reps? Can they be isolation exercises?
the other two excercises should be excercises that are specific to your weaknesses. They don't have to be compound but most likely there will be better gain that way. for instance if i do squats 5x5 then SDLD 2x8 and front squats 2x10 I will most likely get better results than doing ham curl and leg ext
