.5" on your arms in 3 weeks

HST.

That is all.

After almost 8 months of no growth my arms have went up 1/2 an inch in only 3 weeks.

Give it a shot.

Oh yeah, quads are up 1". :)

Are you natural right now? Have you put on fat?

all natural, no fat, in fact I only gained maybe 3 pounds. I'm not even bulking hardcore really, just eating lots of protein.

I've noticed in the past when I've done HST I didn't gain much weight but my measurements all went up and my abs got more ripped.

5x5's - 20 lbs in about 3 weeks, haha. all natural too. but i have put on a lot of water weight and some fat. I think im going to stick with this for some time. good post tho!

very impressive, karma to you.

Great progress brother!! What are the measurements up to? Seems harder the bigger they get. Everyone's different though. Just like to get a little extra perspective. Keep KILLING that shit!!

still small bro :(

My arms were stuck at 15" forever. They're now finally 15.5". It's been a struggle since I hit 15". They're damn stubborn.

I used to hit the arms once a week with relatively low volume, about 6 sets. Now I'm doing one set of one direct isolation excercise 3 times/week along with the compounds and they seem to be responding.

Quads are up to 25" from 23.5" about 6 months ago. I don't fully attribute this growth to HST. I started doing box squats and taught myself how to squat properly and they've responded well.

Awesome.. you can't squat heavy until u get the form down. that also prevents injury. smart move bro and keep up with them!

20 lbs. from 5x5 in 3 weeks? Definitely very little muscle there. Too little frequency if you're only hitting the muscles once a week.

Dubs, awesome man. I'm deconditioning for my next HST cycle. Unfortunately, I couldn't start a Westside routine as I had planned for various reasons, so I plan to keep going for size until I reach measurements that keep me in good proportion. .5" in three weeks time certainly isn't uncommon on HST, but it is always impressive.

I think more people are starting to lean towards HST, which is awesome, due to the science behind it. The truth, not bodybuilding lore. :p

That's the measurements I want ideally. I've hit a bunch of them already, or am pretty close. Arms lack a bit, but other than that, I'm pretty good. I think the whole concept of getting as big as humanly (or inhumanly) possible is just idiotic. I mean, I shouldn't bash someone's goals if that's what they are, but to me it's just senseless. I like that calculator and figured I'd post it up (though many probably have seen those before), because it does show fairly ideal proportions for one's frame. Rough measurements, but you can ballpark it from there. Symmetry is always good.

I'm usually weary of these quick fix routines, but HST seems pretty sound. A lot of people I know are getting pretty good results from it.

Thanks everybody. I'll be going on vacation soon and will use that as my next deconditioning period. After I get back I'm gonna start pounding the food and see if I can gain some solid weight.

I know how that is brother! Ive hit many plateaus along the way. It took me four years to go from 17-18" cold on my arms. That was the longest sticking point. Also had an entire year with very little to no increased measurements and no real strength increases aside from the deadlifts. Good thing is, once you make the improvement it stays, or atleast its easier to get back. Sometimes you never know when the body will respond with extra growth. Sometimes changes trigger it also. I know when I switched gyms recently I gained 1/2 and inch on my arms in 5 months. My gym closed down. But it seemed to workout well. Aslong as you keep training hard and consistent, and eat enough, the gains will come. Keep KILLING that shit!!

yes i know there isn'r much muscle in there, but i think its just cool, at least i still can see my abs! haha. im just doin this (5x5) to get my strength up from my long competition diet this summer.

the whole concept of getting as big as possible, well a lot of the guys here want to be "that" big, like me. its kind of body dismorphia, getting bigger and bigger and bigger is soo awesome. you feel almost more self confident and noticed. I wont be happy until im a solid 250- 260. but if i reach that ill prob still feel small... no hard feelings bro!
