here are my stats. 5'4" 105 . just started training but use to surf so im not in bad shape. i eat good and drink water all day long. heres my question: how can i get my butt smaller and firmer. behind my legs needs some work too. i cant lift weights for my legs cause all that happens is they get bigger. (thanx to my mother) i build muscle in my legs and ass easy and i dont want that. i wanna tone them up so i need some good pointers to make my butt not jiggle so much, but like i said if i involve weights my legs grow. and i wanna tone and tighten not grow. i tried do leg extensions but i noticed my legs were getting bigger so i stopped. also im tiny everywhere but my butt.my butt is a bubble butt and now its getting flabby and this is un attractive. also i need more energy cause i have zero. i have tried multi vitamins but they dont seem to work. thanx again for the help

hahahaha Please...I can't lift weights b/c I just want to tone! ;)

it gets better:

first response:

The flabbiness is due to poor muscle structure...you will tone muscle, (with weights) max reps, lightest weights and burn fat (with the cardio machines) but try the combination of both "TOGETHER" !!! and you will achieve that look you want.

even better:

I recently read somewhere that swimming is an excellent way to take care of those problem areas! But your probably still not going to be satisfied. No matter what you do, if your working an area of your body, your going to build up the muscle there. Trust me, I know it blows. My mom and dad both have very large legs and um....posteriers. I got it in spades - so my shape ends up being close to a bowling pin, spoon, pear, whatever they're calling it this week! Hang in there - be happy with the shape you have. Remember, you don't have a bubble but, your just very feminine and curvy!

lol

It reminds me of the articles you find in Self magazine and such......a lot of hogwash. Use to enjoy those mags, until I came here and read this board, and learned everything else is pretty much useless shit.....I am constantly preaching now at the gym....quoting everyone from here. Hee hee.....I keep arguing about declines with anyone who will listen ;)

ohmigosh...another topic!

alright ladies, does anyone here work out w/their men? I do once in awhile but I'm usually too busy at night. Ya know, cooking dinner, takin care of the kids. Besides its usually his time by himself.

DAMMIT I wish I had Mr Right (or even Mr. RightNow) to work out with.... the best gains I ever made were with sets to failure with a spotter. But on the other hand, I do most of my sets with 30-45 sec intervals -- waiting for a buddy to get through a set just increases my set interval. LOL!. O well, I'll quit my bitching. I would like it if there was a Mr Right or Mr. Right Now who would have dinner ready when I came home from the gym... but then again, really all I need is a wife....hmmmmm.....

yes....do not lift....it will INCREASE your size...puts tons of mass on ya in like no time....yes take a multi-viatmin and some jenny craigs diet meals and u will see some major results you are looking for, no need to lift....y you may even sweat and it is for men anyways.......

New... we don't sweat ... we 'glow' --- LMAO ROTF! Dammit now where did I put my matching pink leg warmers???

not the dreaded 't' word again!...cringe everytime I see this!
hmmm.. multi-vit for a flabby bubble butt? Hey, maybe I'll try that one! :FRlol:

just got warned for my replies over there. I gave them simple weight training advice and called them a bunch of cardio queens who hang out in the pink dumbell section and complain about how fat they are!
:FRlol: I was feeling frisky. But it was good advice though, just didn't get the jist of the board. What kind of board is thay anyways????

Now lets get some shit straight. This is a board for women who are trying to support their men who juice. Not a womens weight training board. Yes, most of us do weight train, but not all of us and its really not relevant to why we are here.

Support their men that juice????? Good to see they are solid independent women......People like that never learn....so i dont even bother to waste my breathe...they always know everything and all the answers so...let their BUTTS continue to jiggle and legs run over w/ cottage cheese.....we will do it our way and they can do it theirs, and we will see who looks better......and OOPS I believe their men that juice...will be checking us out while they gossip on their board:)

Oh man that cardio queen comment is hysterical. ROCk on...and...what, you guys don't wear pink leg warmers? i think they look really cool while doing squats.

TV - you WIN at final jeopardy! No one ever gets that reference...Im a huge Bowie fan. Someone else asked me if it had anything to do with Christine Agulalalalala...like,no. Talk about your pink leg warmers...

If you're really bored sometime, go check out t-tapp.com. This woman has some really interesting theories about exercise for women. She advocates "working the muscle from both points of insertion to build density, as opposed to bulk".

The above suggestion was for entertainment purposes only. I don't advocate her methods, so please don't flame me!

OK I checked out T-Tapp and thought I'd share my findings:

What makes your program different than others?
It's like the reverse of all other exercises. With other exercise, as you get stronger, you add more weights and you add more reps. With T-Tapp, the stronger you get the more you get out of it, so no matter how strong you are, you never do more than 10 reps in one set. It's never been done that way before.

No shit, Sherlock, wonder why??

When you do a curl using weight you'll feel it in the belly of the muscle and you'll feel it in the elbow. With T-Tapp, when you do a curl make sure the shoulder and elbow stay totally in linear alignment. As you curl out and curl in, now you'll feel it in the tricep. You're using deltoids, biceps and triceps-no weight-but you're pulling on the muscle both ways so you get long lean muscles instead of little bulging biceps.

But I LOVE my little bulging biceps! :D

When exercising be sure to inhale /exhale deeply, stretch, and do comprehensive muscle movements like T-Tapp Twist, Pull the Weeds and Advanced Hoe Downs.

A Hoe Down - yeeeeha! Sorry, couldn't resist. (For all you foreigners, a "hoe down" is an American country-western party with square dancing, ruffled skirts, and such.)
