400mg a week prescribed from Doc. Good or bad?

Has anyone given you follow up blood work to see where your T levels are? Xman posted a lot of great information and I agree with it all.
For myself I would be real nervous going over 200mgs a week. I am kind of old school. So I believe in the least amount necessary to achieve the desired results. That said, it all come down to what you panel shows.

Just the initial bloodwork pre injection was tested. I haven't had it done since. Total test was at 163...I'll probably get it done in a couple months or so.

be careful getting both scripts filled, you could get yourself and/or the doctors red flagged...and I doubt either doctor even if your personal friend, would be cool about thinking you were using them to stock up...

Maybe do one at a normal pharmacy that your insurance might cover it, and another at a private mom and pop place that might not have a computer data base entering the scripts...pharmacies communicate to avoid folks loading up on pain killers and other narcs....so you could come up as well if you are loading up on scripts for 600mg week of Test....

FYI Im on 200mg a week of TRT for 2 years, and feel totally fine, labs come in around 1000 I think on that dose...Im 5'10 and 235-250, which is the same weight Ive been since I was 16 and lifting hard and eating big....so at 200mg week Im right where I was naturally before HRT....

My red blood cell count can go high, so I try to donate blood as often as possible....BP was always borderline even before HRT....

I dont know how anyone could do TRT without adex and hcg.....lots of docs arent that informed but you should get yourself the stuff even if you need to acquire it elsewhere....

You can run 400mg week safely for a pretty long time but sooner or later it will have a negative impact on your labs and you will have to lower the dose.

Hi folks, new to this forum and some members seem very cool, knowledgeable and helpful so I had a few questions for some of you gurus...

Went to my Doctors yesterday which is actually my primary for the last few years. He's actually a neurologist that I've been seeing due to epilepsy so he's a specialist just not in the TRT world. Anyhow due to epilepsy breakout several weeks ago I'm on a medication that does leave me very sluggish and feeling low T like symptoms. He suggested I get my test levels checked, which I did.

Results came in and yes my gut feeling and his was a low test count due to probably a few things but certainly not helped by having to take anti epileptic drugs.

My total test number was 163 (super low) I'm 32, an athlete and weigh 280lbs, I just happen to have epilepsy to which is under control for the most part.

Okay to the point and here are my questions. He has prescribed me testosterone cyp weekly injections at 400mg (so 2cc's) that seems great and all and I'm glad I have such a progressive doctor because that seems like a homie hook up to me at that amount of test prescribed.

Now because it's a high amount for TRT from what I'm reading. What possible side effects might I have and what should I take (if any) to combat possible estrogen build up etc? Like I said, he's not an endo so he's open to suggestions from me.

He talked about dropping me to a lower dose after 6 weeks or so (200mg a week), is this advisable or if I can keep the amount at 400mg a week would this be a better route due to less side effects?

I guess I can't complain, it seems even some endos don't prescribe enough and here I am with a primary that wants to dose me up high due to epilepsy.

Thoughts and advice needed on this. He's a good guy and it's obviously not his field but jut want to make sure this a good thing or not. Sounds like legal juicing to me.

Thanks guys...

Fill em both and horde that shit man. I wouldn't take 400mg/week if I were you. Not long term at least,; you don't need that much to feel good and make great gains. Stock up and if you feel like doing a blast or two in the future, you'll have some lovely pharma grade gear to do it with.

Thanks for all the response guys. Just been running the prescribed amount (200mg per week) and feel great. But yes I've been picking up both (legit) prescriptions. One script from Costco and the other a local cvs. I also pay out of pocket for both of these as to stay off the radar somewhat. Above poster is correct! lol...if I get the chance to hoard it for a rainy day than I'll have a bunch extra on my hands if and when needed. :)
