Hi folks, new to this forum and some members seem very cool, knowledgeable and helpful so I had a few questions for some of you gurus...
Went to my Doctors yesterday which is actually my primary for the last few years. He's actually a neurologist that I've been seeing due to epilepsy so he's a specialist just not in the TRT world. Anyhow due to epilepsy breakout several weeks ago I'm on a medication that does leave me very sluggish and feeling low T like symptoms. He suggested I get my test levels checked, which I did.
Results came in and yes my gut feeling and his was a low test count due to probably a few things but certainly not helped by having to take anti epileptic drugs.
My total test number was 163 (super low) I'm 32, an athlete and weigh 280lbs, I just happen to have epilepsy to which is under control for the most part.
Okay to the point and here are my questions. He has prescribed me testosterone cyp weekly injections at 400mg (so 2cc's) that seems great and all and I'm glad I have such a progressive doctor because that seems like a homie hook up to me at that amount of test prescribed.
Now because it's a high amount for TRT from what I'm reading. What possible side effects might I have and what should I take (if any) to combat possible estrogen build up etc? Like I said, he's not an endo so he's open to suggestions from me.
He talked about dropping me to a lower dose after 6 weeks or so (200mg a week), is this advisable or if I can keep the amount at 400mg a week would this be a better route due to less side effects?
I guess I can't complain, it seems even some endos don't prescribe enough and here I am with a primary that wants to dose me up high due to epilepsy.
Thoughts and advice needed on this. He's a good guy and it's obviously not his field but jut want to make sure this a good thing or not. Sounds like legal juicing to me.
Thanks guys...
