Stupid question, but it just occured to me...
When someone says a "40-30-30" diet or something similar to that, that means 40% carbs, 30% protein, 30% fat.
Now, is this measured in calories or grams? So, if one were on the 40-30-30 plan, does that mean that he would take in (say) 400 grams of carbs, 300 grams of protein, and 300 grams of fat? Or does that mean that he would take in 1600 calories of carbs (400 grams), 1200 calories of protein (300 grams), and 1200 calories of fat (133 grams)?
