Hi everyone, this is my first time putting pictures on the internet so don't tear me apart please.

Backstory: Been training since 1.15.06, after a 2 year hiatus (torn rotator cuff and then within a month of that healing up, I shattered my right hand got real depressed and drank alot). Was a collegiate swimmer (sprinter) and was reasonably fit before all this, got remotivated when some friends who hadn't seen me in 2 years said "wtf happened to you, fatass".

6'1", 193 lbs, 14% bf, 23 y.o.

Been bulking this entire time, worked my way up from ~180lbs 18% bf. Mostly muscle memory I figure, this past month has been a complete wash. Went from 12-14% bf, gained 0 weight, and according to my measurments, everything shrank about 1mm. I'm a little suspicious of the measurements though, I have gotten stronger and have been working as hard as ever.

Given this months failure, I'm considering trying this Bill Star 5x5 program, starting next monday (I've been doing a 4 day split past 3 months). Thing is, BB bench press is really painful for me given my rotator cuff problems, and I generally just do DBs (still painful, not as bad though), not sure if this will ruin the effectiveness of the Bill Star program posted my Madcow. I can handle incline BB press ok.

Anyway, aside from the apparent crookedness of my back, what do ya'll think? Wheels need a lot of work, no need for a picture. My traps and middle/lower back also seem kinda pathetic. Im torn between bulking for another few months whilst on the 5x5, or cutting first to bring out the lower abs for the summer. Thanks.

Oh and heres a couple recent lifts:
Deads 325 x 4 (4th was a bit sloppy)
Weighted chins 5 x 55 lbs
DB Press 2 x 105s
Weighted dips 90lbs x 6
Squat 185 x 4 (past parallel or whatever thats called)
DB Seated Military 5x70s

Thats all I can remember without gettin the journal outa my car.

looking good bro, any plans on playing with gear

Nah. I think I still have some natural growth in me, and I don't wana mess with anything until my shoulder is close to 100%.

^^ I disagree :)

bleh  Here are some beefy hamstrings

I think a big part of my problem is all throughout high school / college, I went about 1/4 way down. The past couple months I've been trying like hell to go deep, but it just feels so akward. I think im getting it down though and feel a better burn in my hams and lower quads/knee area, the weight is just plain embarassing though. I've been experimenting with a wider stance and that seems to be helping.

Your upper back and delts have great detail.
You are pretty lean too. You will look sick as soon as you tighten up the diet for the summer!

No need for gear if you're making progress natural. You've definitely on the right track. Looking good bro, keep it up.

^^^ I agree.

You need to stop worrying so much about the weight, you HAVE to start somewhere ... form is key, weights WILL progress ... :)

I know some helpful guys in weight training forum that may be able to make some suggestions for you ...

Looking very nice! Esp. in your upper back. I agree with Bunny that the weight just comes naturally. I once saw a famous body builder in the gym when I lived in Miami, and you would be surprised that he was not lifting super heavy every day. Form really is everything.

holy hell dude, work your legs...

it will benefit you in so many ways...

your upper body dwarfs those strings hanging from your boxers... oh those are your legs... ;)
