3rd week anpb diet, no results

Just took some measurements, and at the end of my third week I havn't lost anything around the waist or anywhere else for that matter. Should I lower my calories? Right now i'm eating around 2600 cals at 230lbs.

Lowering them even more is probably going to make you lose a nice chunk of lean mass!

Not familiar w/the diet you are on, but any diet (that is calculated by the user so it is accurate) for that period should show progress, especially if you are hittin' that cardio and trainin' hard. I take it something there is lacking perhaps? If not, could be other things......

Those Kcals seem about right for ya, but somethin's wrong........my guess is you need to get your thyroid humpin', make cardio a staple for fat loss, utilize carbs for muscle building/glucose restortation when it is needed, as that's a key to KEEPING lean mass while you diet. If you are relatively sedentary (don't know if u are, it's an example), and you keep carbs to basically nothing, how do you propose a loss of fatty tissue while keeping lean mass intact? There is no encouragement by the user for either one.

So, if any of these apply, I'd get to workin' on em. All of them may not apply, but the ones that do may help........hope it helps!

thanks for the reply, I started HST training at the same time i started my diet, but no cardio. I havnt done cardio in around 6-8 months. How frequent and intense should cardio be for optimal fat loss without loosing too much lean mass?

So should the PB diet be dismissed.........cuz i was considering starting this 2 weeks from now or is cardio needed for it to work

i do cardio 3x a week at 45 mins 70%mx hrt rate

something is definitely wrong...you using pb w/ sugar in it? maybe x can chime in here with possible scenarios

the anpb diet isnt a bad diet.

if you do it right, you will lose weight.

go back over the diet and make sure you are following it exactly.

maybe lower calories a couple hundred more and see if it helps.

did you do a refeed?

What is your age and height? 2600 cals is maintenance for me @ 230lbs. Drop cals to 2200 and try that for a week.

i'm 19, 230 lbs. I'm down 6 lbs in water weight since i've started (i lost the 6 lbs in about 2 days so it is water weight)
I'm following the diet exactly as it's laid out except i replaced the whey with plain skinless chicken 3 meals a day to cut down on costs. I used the anpb calculator to work out all the numbers and I split the calories evenly over 6 meals spaced 2-3 hours apart. My first refeed I waited 2 weeks. I shortened it to every 10 days after reading that 2 weeks was too long so my next refeed is tomorrow. I'm eating all my vitamins, drinking a gallon of water every day and training HST. I'm adding in some moderate intensity cardio 3 days a week to see if that helps out, but other than that, i dont know what i'm doing wrong. any ideas??

oh yeah, no sugar added in the peanut butter, its smuckers all natural, the only ingredients are peanuts and salt.

You ate nothing but nasty-ass natural peanut butter for 3 weeks for nothing?

May god have mercy on your soul.
no problem for me, i could eat peanut butter all day every day forever ;) that's one of the reasons i chose the diet over a regular ckd.

Nope I was bulking, around 4000 cals a day. What is leptin and why would it be low? thanks for your help btw :)

well today is the carb up, I'm carbing up with about 2-300 less calories than the calculator says. Than tomorrow I'm going to drop my calories by 200 and hopefully with the cardio that will get things moving.
