3000 made ultimate sacrifice ... for what purpose?

3000 American men and women made the ultimate sacrifice.
3000 families received the dreaded visit that they have hoped they would never receive.
22,000 are injured.
To what cause? For Bush's 'legacy'?
The only achievement I can see is execution of Saddam.

Saddam lost but who won? Muqtada Saddar who is the most virulently anti-American leader in Iraq. He stopped supporting the Prime Minister just because he had a meeting with Bush.
He controls the largest militia and is one of the most powerful politicians. The current Prime Minister came to power mainly by his support.

Isn't it ironic that the guards who executed Saddam were followers of Saddar. When they put the noose around Saddam's neck, they were chanting names of Saddar's father and father-in-law. Saddam is blamed for their deaths.

Which country had gained most from Saddam's fall? Iran.

Even Henry Kissinger, Bush's own Republican advisor, said that the war in Iraq can't ne won.

How many more young American men and women have to give their lives so that Bush can have his 'legacy'?

they should have negotiated with Saddam, handed him a life sentence instead of death, placed fake wmd's somewhere, and made saddam confess that they were there and he was hiding them. That would have solved a few problems for the americans.

For sure a no-win situation for us. Another Vietnam.

They died because our Congress Men and Women were afraid to stand up for what is right in fear of being Un-Patriotic. They died because the American people are so easily tricked, yet some continue to support this lost cause.

Anyone remember Baghdad Bob? Saying there was no tanks in the city when there was. Well, the people that still support the war with such devotion remind me of them. Admit it, we were wrong.

Supporting your troops is not saying "YAY Good Job!" Supporting your troops is making sure that the cause they are fighting for is true and honorable, so if they die it will be for the greater good of your country and humanity. What people are doing now is turning the blind eye to the deaths of the nations brave who have no choice but to be there because of our mistakes.

I hope people that were for the war died a little on the inside in the past year because of this mistake that you didn't die for, someone else did.

Oh they'll all be back one day. And iraq will still be a big fat cluster-fuck. And with Bush out of office, and in hiding - the american people and govt will have a lot of explaining to do to military families about 'what their loved ones died for'.

another vietnam. thousands died and we gained squat. we should've invaded north korea instead. dumb us.
