25mcg T-3

I''ll bump for you bro ...........and tag on a question if you dont mind. In addtion to coming off what is the best strategy to avoid a rebound effect of weight gain?

alot of people start off with 25mcgs i would assume you would have to cut the dosage by half to 12.5 mcgs...as far as the rebound effect if you only took 25 mcgs you shouldnt have anything to worry about when it comes to the rebound effect...unless you tapered it down to 25 mcgs and that is where you are now.

25 mcg is exactly a replacement dose, so why only take 25? Not bieng a dick im just wondering

I'm only using T-3 because of a prolonged DNP cycle so I'm looking to just give myself enough so the DNP keeps working. From what I have read I should use more then 25mcg but it is NOT needed. I don't want to mess up my thyroid either.

A low dose of T3 can help with protein synthesis. If you are going to use it for that reason only I would suggest you go with 12.5mg so you dont have to worry bout any rebound or such.

Karma is always welcome!

Huh? 25mcg is WAY more than most people need in a day, unless they have their thyroid removed. In my own case, using only 5mcg of cytomel 2 times a day made my TSH jump from 3.5 to .1 (.1 is considered out of normal range and hyperthyroidism). IF you browse google groups, you'll be hard pressed to find anyone with true hypothyroidism using more than 5mcg twice daily - even those with TSH in the high teen range (20 or above)

The ONLY way 25mcg would even approach a replacement dose is if someone had serious, serious hypothyroidism.

I don't advocate using cytomel either, because prior to using it my TSH hovered near 1 (which is ideal.). My thyroid bounced back several months after using it, but not to the same level it was before. In retrospect, using it was complete stupidity since I could have gotten the same results with diet and cardio, without the muscle loss.

Some people on this board use 75mcg a day...now I need to do more research.
